speeder mk5 build

i just upgraded to mk5 speeder.i shifted from shooter and i like speeder very much.i use 1 rare lvl20 cannon,lvl30 sniper rare,.i have rare lvl 10 nitro,lvl 11 tesla shild.lvl 30 rare grenade launcher. lvl 10 turbo.please suggest for a better build

 

As a speeder mk4 i used Grenade+StandardCannon / TeslaShield+Overboost / Bandage+Turbo. It is a great setup, you can do a lot of damage because of the low CD of the cannon and be pretty resilient and evasive.
The problem in mk5 is that 1 yellow slot would be wasted (tesla Shield requires 2 slot points), so as the 2 point blue slot (in this case bandage could be swapped for Big Shield).

Since you've already used grenade and have it leveled up, and you wish to try Tesla Shield (I guess that) I'd suggest you my earlier setup. You should always play with your high level items. That setup can get you to 2k infamy or higher if you play it well.

However, I believe it could be less efective the higher infamy you get. You could prepare your items to swap to one of these setups: Blast/Explosive + Flare / TeslaBolt+Overboost+Nitro(or OB or TB); or BigTorp + Sniper (or swift torp) / Frost blaster + Overboost + Tesla Bolt (or Nitro or OB).

 

i have lvl 1 epic flare,2 lvl 1 exp canon,does not have any rare overboost/tesla(hv uncommon).

 

First welcome to speedersville it is a really fun ship. For you I would go sniper and grenade launcher. And see what other rare or epic 2 slot weapons you get. Your sniper will let you hit from afar and your grenade launch will do some good damage and your Tesla shield will protect you some. If you get a frost blaster or Tesla bolt you can also add overboost to max out your slots. For blue also look for a bandage as it can be your best friend. I personally run Big Torpedo rare cannon mainly because my cannon is lvl 30 and does more damage than any of my other 1 slot items.

 

I run an explosive cannon, blast cannon, tesla shield, overboost, turbo, and big shield. It works for me. However, the standard yellows most boaters use at mk5 is tesla bolt, nitro, overboost or frost blaster, nitro, overboost. The frost blaster is almost always paired with a big torpedo. Turbo is a standard blue on most boats including the speeder. The second blue should be a big shield or bandage. A tier 4 rare big shield will give you about 1,200 extra hit points depending on perks/training. A tier 4 rare bandage does about 70 hp healing every 5 seconds. You'd need to stay alive at least 85 seconds after you are first hit by the enemy for the bandage to be equal to the big shield. Weapons can be all over the place but most often you see explosive, sniper, blast cannons or a big torpedo. For you, it's probably best to use the sniper and grenade launcher while you focus on upgrading your yellow and blues.

idk about you but since i upgraded to mk5 speeder (only ship I play) - I feel like speeder is super fast now. and I have to learn how to play speeder all over again. after 2700+ games

my current load out is flare gun, blast cannon, overboost, tesla bolt, nitro, big shield and turbo.
I'm thinking about using explosive cannon and blast cannon in future. another one is using double blast cannon. blast cannon and mine. blast cannon/sniper cannon and big torpedo and frost blaster.

 

I'm a MK4 speeder at the moment but I will get mk5 fairly soon. I am running sniper cannon/Standard Cannon, Overboost/Nitro, Turbo/Rudder. I will equip a Tesla bolt when I get to mk 5. I also have an epic grenade that I am using to complete guild quests. I personally like to chip away from a distance using my speed to my advantage then I dive on lower hp targets like fixers and weak shooters. Honestly your loadout depends on your style of play, speeders do have quite a variety of sets, as demonstrated by everyone elses sets.

 

My current setup mk4 speeder is Berta mortar, Ballpark mortar, Frost blaster, Nitro, Bandage, Turbo

 

You already have sniper at lvl30. So definitely go with that. It's really good and the crits will help you in a lot of close situations. I would swap my rare standard cannon with a sniper/blast cannon if I had one but didn't get a enough to get to higher tier. Standard cannon is good as well but you need to upgrade it a lot to actually get some decent dps out of it (mine is t4 lvl39). For you right now it won't be a good combo with the sniper imo. Speeders need to do a lot of damage quickly and and get away so having a high dps weapon helps (I have EC as second weapon). You already have a grenade launcher leveled up so imo use that with the sniper. It's a little hard to get the shots right but it's really powerful once you get the hang of it. Also try and get some range perks from store to help you target from a distance.

For yellow i'm using Tesla bolt. It's a must have support weapon for any speeder, unless you run with torps which are good with frost weapons. Plus 2 OB. I swap one of them with a nitro sometimes. Overall definitely try and get an OB for your speeder. Nitros are good but OB maintain high speed over long duration which will help you when you are trying to get in position quickly (flank or support). You can go with 2 nitros as well. Its also a good setup as nitro has lower cool down than OB (cool down perks help). So a Tesla + 2nitro or 2OB or nitro/OB all are good. I'm not a fan of Tesla shield cos it costs 2 slot points and will stun you if broken which right now will be like every time for me, so scrapped it (hate those sniper crits).

For blue, one is definitely a turbo. Gives a higher base speed. For second slot you have a choice with mk5. Either go with a big shield if you play offense which will help you last longer or work with a bandage (preferably rare or higher) if you play support/distraction. You can get in and out of a situation and recover for some time until your team mates cover for you. I tried using big shield and bandage and it was good. It definitely gives you an edge with hp but my OB is still not that powerful to keep me going. Need a try with rare t4 or t3 epic OB. Doesn't mean it will not work for you. Try it out.

Try different setups and you will eventually find a setup that suits you. Everyone here can give you suggestions based on what setups they use cos it works for them. It's trial and error until you figure out what works for you. Like @BasedCarpen uses mortars and is really good with the setup.
