Chain retraining

You can look it that way so you'll understand the logic behind retrain skip cost (I'm glad it doesn't cost anything to start retraining):

 

Well it would cost them: Income from pearls as people do skip retrainings with them. If you let people queue their retrainings for over night, they wouldn't skip retraining for getting next one to retrain etc. It can cost even up to few hundreds of pearls so it is quite good for them as pearls are in-game money.

 

I get that u understood from my answer that I want to train multiple people at a time if that is the case no I never made a point that we should be able to train multiple talents at once what I said was we should be able to switch the talent we have already trained for without the need of retraining for an hour.
In my opinion when I have trained my crew for a particular talent I must be able to switch in b/w those talents without wasting my time on retraining because if I want to switch to a different items it would take hrs of retraining and that too if my trainer is free which is usually not the case .
For example I use swift speed perks when I use canon now I feel like using carronade then all I should have to do is switch to these carronade talents check check check (switching should be instant without the need of availability of trainer) done's go to play instead of oh my trainer is busy guess I will play carronade after 2 days when it finishes training and then waste some more hrs to retrain and will then use the carronade.
This change would really help players in having a lot of fun by trying different weapons and stop game from becoming stale.
And the refusal to cost pt I made to joeyaa was that joeyaa suggested that the instant switching b/w the talents should cost money which it should not

 

This I agree with you. You already paid for them but what I tried to explain was right that you need to retrain them as reminding them how to use that talent, that's why there is that retraining time. As I tried to explain in that example, you too need retraining with your skill in real world sometimes/someday when you should know something learned in school but you have forgot it. Then simple short reminding is needed like in this case but you can skip it with pearls here which is not possible in reality.

I don't know did you get it now better but this is not a thing to argue as it is not in our hands to decide how it should be.

 

I get ur pt about reminding ourself of that skill in real life and it would be useful here too if the game was carrying out the shots for the weapons or me learning how to use that weapons.
Till now all the freemium games that I have played have been card game u build a deck and u go for a match no retraining. u dont want to play with this card today swap it or u think this card would suit ur build okay take that card.
That way I learned how use different cards and fight in different situations for me that how I learn.
U need to to let player experiment till he find that build which suits him and that's how u do it.
Here m like I have to change 8 times different talents before I get to play with the thing I want u know what leave it I will follow what the top players are using. That's the way most players are playing no experimentations just blindly following the trend because of it.
It's not a argument it's just a difference in opinion about how I think and u think and I truly respect ur pt about reminding ourselves/game by retraining the crew.

 

For some reason.. I can't retrain my crew member. I double tap the talents and wait for
nearly 9 hours and nothing done! not a single talent and that happened twice.
First time nearly 9 hours
Second, 10 hours
nothing finished!
So I retrain one by one (1 hour) and that works. I contact the developer and no one reply.
what a crap

 

I've retrained 3 talents in a row at the most and it did go fine. I do not know what might have been the reason for not getting done 9 or 10 talents training. Maybe the update fixes this as there is one fix for crew training hurry option which now has a bug there. I do not know does your problem get solved with it but I really do hope so as it effects quite badly there.

 

Would be even MORE helpful if you could multi train across all crew. But after reading all posts, I agree most with the one that said if we could change perks on the fly it would allow more play style variations and versatility. It will allow players to actually use more than one ship! It should be free then, no sugar, no time cost.

 

I think the delay is a balance. I just swapped out blasts for sniper. Took 5 hours, and yes I chained them overnight. If I could swap right back it would be too easy. Why have training delay at all then?

 

Can someone show me how to chain retraining? I tried yesterday to retrain 3 Felix talents and I have to redo it one by one. I can only select 1 at a time to retrain.

 

If that's the case, why have conflicting talents at all. Why not just activated all the talents at that levels. I play all 5 ships so I don't mind that.

 

Did you watch the video a few posts above? Click the first retrain, then an apply or cancel screen comes up. Scroll to the other talents and double click the one you want to train. It will add time and include it on the list.

I don't mind that either but I think that will be very OP. Some tree skills go opposite ways but many would be stacking. Like +5% damage to all cannons or +10% to blast cannon.
