Why haven't Mortars been nerfed?

    Frost Launcher got a buff because it was underutilized.
    Mortars are out fucking rageous so why not?

    Mortars that do direct damage could easiky be increased by one slot point making these dual Berta, dual standard mortar shooters go away.

    Not gonna happen because the community stands pretty much divided on it.
    Thes ace league players think it's an okay weapon as it can be dodged easily and nightmare people don't use it because to them it's shit probably low projectile speed and missiles are a way better option .
    And for low infamy player they are a nightmare not because they are powerful or anything just the mortar spamming which is pretty shit .

    Maybe a nerf at lower levels and a buff st higher levels
    T4 rare and below recieve nerf Greater than T4 is buffed

    Hey wishaal I tried ur advice work to a some extent that's it the improvement is too little. The problem is that this mortar ( including firebomb) spamming is the most unforgiving. I played a couple of games today and observed other players and mine game too. The thing is if u do a little mistake in the match and get under the unfriended radar ( Thier mortar and firebomb range ) that becomes ur last mistake and they will bombard u till u die which usually takes 30 secs and to escape is practically impossible. tried ur advice too to full extent took the shortest path out of the mortars ring and went with waves not against it etc etc.
    I know I and those player did a little mistake of getting near the enemy a little soon but if that a single little mistake will cost u and ur team the the whole match then don't u think it's a overpowered fighting technique.
    The mortars may not do significant amount of damage but they do make the path u will take predictable which allows the unfriend to shoot point dmg weapons easy and thus ur single mistake becomes ur last every time.
    Mortar spamming is way too unforgiving let me know ur thoughts on how to counter this?

    Oh yes, I remember that all too well. The best thing you could do is try not to stick too close to your team members, but also not too far. And try to move forward with other team members at the same time. Try to have equal distance to the enemy as your other team members. If done correctly, this should make the enemy unsure on wich player to target.

    If you see a player other than you being targetted by mortars, rush to the front a little bit (not too far), and then run away as fast as you can. Enemy will the. Target you wich gives that player the time to escape. And since you were running away already, you too should have enough time to escape.

    (Most of the time you'll still take some damage, but not enough to cripple you)

    That aside, I think I told everything, at this point it just comes down to experience (wich will be a hellish struggle before you finally got enough experience). I'm not going to lie to you, it's not easy to learn. But it's totally worth it once you finally learned it.

    Let me try again...

    The reason, according to the announcement, of buffing the frost launcher is it wasn't be utilized. They also buffed the repair bolt as that wasn't being used as much as the repair pulse. So the devs actually look at usage and how to increase or decrease it.

    The legitimate question, which isn't just really another mortar complaining topic :mad:, is why hasn't mortars been nerfed to decrease it's usage especially at the 1700 level? Ships running all mortars are not uncommon, highley effective, damaging, and just not fun.

    I think the reason mortars won't get nerfed is because they're not OP, just annoying. Most of the maps have anti mortar areas, if it starts raining find overhead cover. Those shooters are almost completely useless if there's a roof over your head

    Thankfully they dont balance items around the 1700 infamy meta (at least not in this case). You'll level up and miss those mortars being viable soon enough :)

    Wow isnt balanced around lvl 17 either.

    Wouldnt mind if devs just make mortars slower and have captain crew talents for speed starting at level 15 or something just so that we don't see these threads daily lol

    Ummmm i notice my Berta damage got reduce by 500 [from 4.5k to roughly 4k]

    They're not OP, they're over-utilized. If the devs make changes to get player to use, or not use certain items, then mortars seems like a candidate to be modified.

    If devs want to nerf stuff then go ahead but give compensation for nerfed equipment. I have no control over the equipment and have to use whatever the game gives.

    Just because it is used doesn't mean it's op. With that logic shooters should be nerfed as well cause at 1000 infamy most of my games are 5vs5 shooter matches.

    They probably should be nerfed. I'm sick of fighting teams of 5 shooters, and they bring an insane amount of firepower and hp compared to the other ships at lower mk.

    Personally, I think the game would have worked better if Shooters had never been invented, and there were only 4 ships: fast, slow, medium (Enforcer), and healer. That's all you need.

    Shooters are just like the Mary-Sues of the bay.

    Kind of agree.
    They are the real enforcer. They have second highest HP second lowest speed and highest firepower. Yes they don't have yellow items but they are being nerfed every update.

    Try enforcer. They move forward and backward quickly, can cut tight angles and have yellow slots for nitro and Tesla shield. Getting good with enforcer will help you in the long game, it's not common in lower leagues because it's easier to use more fire power with shooter or more hit points with defender but as you go up there are more speeders and it's much more chaotic than the fleets bunched together now, agility becomes much more beneficial and this is where enforcer shines
