Hoping some players who get put on my team read this... -disappointed face-

    • If you are targetted on a player who is caught on fire multiple times and he is at 400 or less HP while losing 100+ damage each half-second, switch targets, HE IS GOING TO DIE YOU ARE WASTING TIME

    • If for some reason you are using all mortars, for the love of god, do not target a speeder while there is a shooter or a defender in range

    • If you have high level items and a fixer is on your team, do not stand far away from your team, your damage is needed

    • Shooters and defenders, if you miss 3 back to back cannon shots on a speeder it's time to switch targets

    • Mk5 fixers under 3000, please do not run double pulse, chances are no one is going to stick with you and you will be following 1 player

    • And if Ian92999 is literally circling an enemy who is stunned and frosted do not mortar them from afar as he is trying to torpedo them

    Ok that's all

Re: Your first point. Sure they're going to die, but a quick kill could stop then getting off a severely damaging torp or Bertha that could change the game. It's not really a cut and dry scenario.

It's more of a scenario type of thing but usually they get the shot in when enemy has 10 hp or even after they die when they could have been turning to another enemy in that time, I get what you mean though

I feel your pain. I run frost combo too... sometimes slow and stun is broken for a 100 damage non-lead mortar..

They don't understand this. They have to steal a kill for themselves. Why? because of that fing ratio on their profile. I run a flare gun. cannon combo. I know and face this everyday. even with 80 hp and 40hp fire damage every second they have to do this. Noobs.

It's entirely situational imo, if somebody is close range I'll shoot them no matter what unless they're under 50 health. They could get one shot out for 1k damage which would be no bueno. Far away? Yeah ok I won't waste my time

Another thing to note... if you have got an mk5 ship, do NOT enter the battle with an mk4 ship or lower. This may seem like common sense, or a morally wrong thing to do... But you'd be surprised at the amount of people without common sense or morals:rolleyes:

I totally agree on this. If I’m in range to shoot and take down someone with low hp immediately, whether the guy is on fire or I have teammates dealing with him that will eventually take him down in a few secs, I’ll do it. Call it time wasting or kill stealing as you like, but I got backfired a few times leaving burning targets go and they survived it or dished out big damage before they died. Imo it’s always good to take out enemy quickest possible.

Exactly better kill steal, rather than leaving target alive. Also burning target can hit you a crit or a railgun while dying which can critically injure you (i have successfully done that a lot of times, idk why i m able to take hardest railgun lead shot while i m dying)

What I mean is that they're already dying maybe needs 1-3 secs. You know how fire damage works. No need to steal kill. And there are plenty of others to focus on. People only focus on low hp dying weak ships. They don't be a team player. This kill ratio is what is killing the fun in the game. in a way

I've got pretty weak equipment, and I can still jam 1500HP of healing into a "player that's already dead lol" in those two seconds you're waffling over. I have literally pulled teammates from "single digits, on fire" back to full HP.

Screw the "credit" - SECURE THE KILL.

    This.
I've made the mistake of leaving a burning enemy with 20hp to die who has then been healed back to full.

Don’t underestimate the 1-3 secs. When I’m burning slowly to death, even with 1 secs left I try to shoot whatever in my range, I try to do as much damage as I can before I die. Killing off a dying enemy doesn’t always mean a player is trying to steal your kill, not everyone cares about the kill ratio. Someone who just “stole your kill” might have saved you or other teammates from a railgun shot or a sniper crit while you’re waiting for your flare gun to burn enemy down.
