I had Diet Coke (~4500 infamy?) on my team as a defender w/ 3 mines; two tier V epics and one tier II epic. He killed 3 guys and had top damage hahaha

 

Yes i suppose diet used them with skill in placement haha. with defender he can get right in the thick of battle to lay em down too
This guy did second lowest dmg (next to a speeder that died in first min), and was not successful in his mine spam.
im sure chill zone wouldve been a different story tho haha

 

I had a speeder on enemy team miner. We kept him alive till last then we cornered him 5v1. Frosted stunned torpedoes coming his way, such a piece of mind.

 

Whenever I see a player with some "stupid" combo they always seem to top damage. quite vexing and irritating.

 

This guy is at 3200 infamy with this setup. If you need proof AOE of mines needs to be nerfed so you have to actually hit them here it is.

 

I had a guy the other day - shooter MK5, 2 uncommon mines, 3 common mines. All T1.
He lived the longest of the enemies, and did exactly 0 damage.

His team did pretty good, and in the end it was 3 of them (2 shooters with half health + the mine dude left with full health) vs me. I just ignored him, and killed the other two - leaving me with like ~300 HP. If he had a single pea shooter on his boat they would have won. Stupid setup made them lose their game, I bet his team mates were angry.

 

Exactly the same happened with me it was a speeder in my case we left him untouched and at last butchered him.

 

How is a mk6 at that infamy proof of that? Even if he had 4.2k I wouldn't agree with your ´proof´

It's a cheesy setup that takes little skill and minimal effort, there is no way he should be this successful with it.

Your argument is based on a wrong assumption. 3200 infamy as a mk6 is the opposite of being succesful, its a trash rank.

Not to mention I don't think the blast radius is the reason this guy is managing to get kills (I assume) with his setup. My guess would be the fact that half the flaming bay is covered in mines.
