Flare gun help!!!

IS flare gun good as an individual weapon, without using burn damage weapons to assist it. Am planning to use it on my shooter.

Currently weapon i use on my mk5
1) Sniper
2) Railgun
3) swift torp(planing to switch it for flare)
4) Firebomb
5) long range mortar

I don't have any close range weapon that is good counter against speeder, would flare be worth it...

 

All fire weapons (fire bomb, flare gun, napalm) are meant to be used to make your other weapons better do more damage. Since you already use fire bomb I would recommend not using it as it doesn't do enough damage on its own.

 

Only have canon and swift torp as single slot options and i hate Canon since it does do much to speeders.....

 

It would be possible to use the flare gun along with the sniper. But I would rather use a BC or an EC when dealing with speeders at close range. Flare gun by itself would not be as good of an option like I said before. However, it all comes down to what you have at your disposal. If you have a good flare gun lying around then it would be fine for now as you don't have anything else that would do more damage atm. But be on the lookout for the cannons mentioned above to replace the flare gun

 

It's does a decent amount of dmg ( my epic tier 1 flare gun does about 330 dmg which is equal to my tier 1 epic explosive canon )
Now to ur problem
Should u use it against speeders
No
Because u need to kill speeder fast and by the time it will do it's dmg speeder will already be back with the healer
Ur setup looks good if u want a close range weapon go for canons period.
If u can change two of ur weapons I would recommend go for
2 sniper (with burn dmg perk)
2 fire bomb
1 railgun

 

Niether have 2nd sniper nor firebomb. And if i use dual fire bomb there won't be a slot for railgun (2 slotted weapon)

ALREADY saving up BCs, don't have slot points for EC(railgun and firebomb already two slot weapons)

 

I agree with everything here except I think he's better off going with crit chance over burn damage perks even if he uses firebomb. His teammates will still be able to take advantage of the fire boost. Also I'd say this isn't a close range build but that's just me.

 

Try training swift A LOT and using carronade. It obliterates speeders

Didn't see that u were only mk5
So for now go with blast canon
And when u are mk6 qnd get more weapons try the above mentioned setup with crit perks and this below setup too
2 sniper canon
1 missiles
1 railgun
1 BC or EC
