Big berta vs firebomb

Between Big Berta and Firebomb... Wich one is better? They are both 2 slot weapons... I think the damage they inflict is kinda equal... Big Berta just deals a heavy hit, while firebomb takes of little by little hp wich shouldn't be underestimated by way.

If you get hit with firebomb you'll think no big deal... But before you know it you're low hp already. On top of that, canons get damage boost while target is on fire, and not just your own canons, but the canons of team mates as well.

So what's the downside of firebomb? Take a look at captain Brock... It's a huge dilemma... Do you want more hp, or do you want stronger firebombs? Big Berta on the other hand doesn't conflict with important hp talents.

So taking all points into consideration... Wich of the two is better? Big Berta, or Firbomb?

 

I traded my Big Bertha away for a fire bomb. Fire Bomb is lower damage, but is easier to hit with, and I feel I'm usually able to regain most of the lost damage because of extra cannon fire damage.

I've gone HP on all the conflicting captain skills. And I'm definitely keeping my T4 BB around in case anything changes in the future.

 

Actually it depends if opposition have a fixer fire damage is nullified and if our team has a enfo or speeder with frost BB can one shot any ship. Fire+Cannons works well and Freeze+BB works well.
I personally prefer BB because 1 BB hit can take out opponent from equation in middle of match.

 

I've noticed that the firebomb still sets people on fire even if they're only on the edge of the blast zone. Does the damage taper off at the same rate?

FB is better than BB currently, BB' s only advantage is it's damage, it's projectile speed sucks, it's range sucks, it's cool down sucks. It's really hard to hit with.

Fire bomb may do significantly less dmg but if you use the kind of builds it gains synch with, it's monstrous to play with or against. Like fb+cannons.

Problem with BB is the kinda build you get a synch with to use BB can only be used by speeders and enforcers alone.

In enforcers, you effectively lose an entire slot if you want to use BB above mk4 which means you are better of using a standard and long range mortar in the place of 1 BB (Better cd and range and together does more dmg than bb).

This makes speeders the only ship you can best use BB along with launcher and I'm sure there are better builds on a speeder than this.

 

i've seen some player using 3 fire bombs on a shooter on the other hand i didnt see anyone using 3 big bertas

 

See HODGES on top 50 players list and next time I play a match I will show you countless players using 3 BB.

Fire bomb is way batter than Berta. Even though Berta does a crap ton of damage, it has a 4 count projectile speed, so it’s the slowest mortar.
Fire bomb becasue of it’s messed up AOE, is ten times better than Berta. Plus you get to assist your team more and light them on fire. And since fire is the new frost, they’ll take more damage. And by assisting your team, you’ll get more battle stars.

 

At starting i used to use Big Berta due to it's projectile speed i didn't bother to give it an another try!
And Fire Bomb? Nah, i'm interested to use it but yeah it does alot of damage but I like Naplam more!
