Control outcome of item from combining pieces

    There has been a few threads of the uselessness of stars. Here's an idea once pieces are collected the ability to use stars or even pearls to combine for an item you want. I'm tired of waiting on the randomness controlling when I can evolve an item. I have two epics that need one more piece each. Unfortunately, I have a strong feeling both with be scrapped because the likelihood of it being what I want is not good. Over a month of collecting wasted most likely

    A system where you get 2-3 options to pick between when combining would be awesome!

    I'm not going to combine anymore in the hopes that rovio will release this stranglehold they have on our ability to advance our boats items. It makes absolutely no sense to me why we have to keep rolling the dice wishing for the item we need. I haven't been able to upgrade any weapon for over a month. People will say well why don't you just try the stuff they give and upgrade those. 2 reasons, 1 upgrades cost to much in parts especially if you don't like them and 2 I don't want to I like my setup... it should be our choice

    battlebay spirit is "do with what you get"... dev spoke a lots about this, and said that's it's how they see the game. No chance of change :(

    Yeah when I was using sniper cannon never got one to get it to even tier 2 all I got were blast and explosive I kept them evolved them now I am using those 2 but now they are stuck at level 20 and I got 3 epic sniper cannons back to sniper now:D:p
    Devs please please reprogram my account so I can get one blast cannon any 1 rare or epic

    That's why this game will never get a huge following, I know a lot of people play for awhile and are then like this sucks I'm out. I'll be there soon enough if they keep this BS format. Notice how many times when battling your with or against the same players? Small amount of players that's why.

    The randomness is definitely frustrating at times, but if you just go with what you are given it becomes tolerable. I was stuck with L1 rare sniper and L1 canon for so long I benched them for weeks. In the mean time I got 6 rare blast canons, so I rolled with it. I finally received 1 more sniper and 2 canons, but they're still too weak to play relative to my other weapons.... and I get so many uncommons it's a lot easier to choose what you want with those, L4 uncommon is better than an L2 rare, so I have something to throw in the mix until the magical day when I get an actual rare canon... everyone I battle with seems to have a rare class canon of some type... luck of the draw. But then again an L2 uncommon is as good as any L1 epic, so there no real hurry.

    But perks will make a difference tier 1 uncommon has 0 perk slots while tier 1 epic has 2 that outclasses the uncommon by a fair bit.

    Maybe.... I find perks underwhelming so far in my experience. +8% distance or +6% damage for 500k gold is barely an incremental improvement for the big cost and few slots available.

    Underwhelming? My big torp does 897 at tier 1 max putting 2 damage boost perks of 9% takes damage to 1059. That is world of difference.

    Damage percentages make a big difference on high damage weapons

    I hate to admit it but the randomness makes it more interesting. If we could all just pick our training our perks, and our items we'd max them all out then get bored.

    As f#$@ed up as Battle Bay is we just keep coming back!

    Holy $_&#! There's no bad language filters here?!

    The key is high damage items of which there are few, and considering those do not hit as frequently, the differential isn't as great as it may seem. In other words adding 3% to most items is the equivalent of a few level ups.

    Not hit frequently? I almost hits everytime with my big torp. It is based on skills and if you are telling me cannons should get 25% more damage etc that would make them op they are meant to deal less damage. Blast cannon gets 70% boost from crew plus 6% from perks 75% is huge difference.

    I have said to some players that the best loadout for each person is what they get from the random crates, not what you would "like" to use.
    However, I would loooooooove the idea of using stars to make your chances of getting the item you want better!
    For example if I wanted an epic BC then I could use stars to make my chances of getting it from 1/35 or 1/19 (3% or 5%) to something more likely. Maybe 50 stars for a 30% chance or something!
    Stars are ironically useless and this system would reward players for their hard work out on the bay!
