I don't really get what you did different in that battle, is it that you went right instead of left or front? If so, that normally doesn't work... it all depends on how the other team moves...
Sometimes works, sometimes you get focus and die in 2 sec haha

Even with fullscreen it's still too small. And this is coming from an iPad user. I don't even know how terrible it must be for phone users.

 

Way too small even on big screen try reposting with better resolution.

 

You have 5 weapons slots, shooter is the boat that have the least use for short reload per weapon

If you play mid range shooter, it helps having a weapon you can switch to right after firing each of your weapons.

Doesn't work all the time but certainly helps.

a short reload time on shooter is stupid you have another 4 weapons why would you need a short cooldown wepom

 

I know standard cannons are cool but not on a fucking shooter i always get pissed when my teammates shooters have standard cannons you have 5 weapons why would you need a short cooldown

 

If you play mid range shooter, just use double explosive canon. Heck, you can even use sniper for mid range as well. Or flare gun for that matter.

It helps having a weapon available to switch to when your other weapons are on cooldown... But with 5 weapon slots cooldown is never an issue, so drop the standard canon on the mk5 shooter, and fit in something stronger.

Higher damage output on time basis because you got 5 weapon slots. A peanut shooter like standard canon isn't good to take on fixers. For taking on multiple fixers you'll be really happy to have a firebomb/big berta or explosive canon on hand.

 

I fire one of my weapons, I switch to cannon and shoot, then I shoot with my other weapon, then switch to cannon again and so on.

Doesn't always work but really does help you. Also please try to understand that you don't control what rng gives you. If I have 6 rare cannons then I'm going to upgrade my rare cannon, not going to bother farming 750k for an explosive cannon I don't have duplicates for.

Also explosive is a 2 slot weapon which isn't worth 2 slots, I'd rather get firebomb or railgun.

The argument that you use standard canon because that's what the RNG provided you with, that's totally fine, I've got zero objections to that because just as you said, you can't controll what you receive.

But I do have objections when you claim that standard canon is good on an mk5 shooter. It's simply not.

 

You want to compare weapons and ships totally negating the skill factor, hypothetical question. However taking into consideration that you are of a higher league, I'd say you will win.

But I'm not talking from a general point of view. What I mean is, maybe the op is using cannons cause that's all he gets? I do not have an mk5 but I'm sure that if I did, I can chain cycle all of my weapons without having to switch to cannons but even if I can I would still use cannon cause it's currently lvl 30 and I have 3 more duplicates.

It's certainly not as strong as a blast or explosive but it's better than a tier 1.
