Scrapping Commons: Compiled Results (now up to 1100 items scrapped!)

I think you are incorrect here. The item DEFINITELY affects the outcome. I'm about 95% certain that if you get a weapon, you are FAR more likely to get a red item piece than a green, where if you get a healing item you are far more likely to get a green item piece from a scrap than a blue one. This has been true for all items of all rarities for me. Sometimes I will scrap an item and get a different coloured item piece, BUT I also get an item of the same colour in the same scrap (two different item pieces of two different colours in the one scrap/drop).
If I'm looking for red item pieces, I buy red items, if looking for blues, buy and scrap blues etc.

I'm sure you guys will find similar results if you test with different item colours.

 

This is definitely true for uncommon and up, but I believe for any commons the odds are the same but could be wrong which is why we should collect data as a community

 

I have tried this and I did not find simular results. You are more likely to find red items from weapons because you are more likely to find red items in general (19 out of 35 items are red). Go scrap 50 green items and see for yourself

 

Hmmm. Happy to be proved wrong. Were these commons? I've honestly only tried uncommons (or up). I'll have to try green commons. Will have to try 50 UNcommons too to see what the results are

 

After a long rough night on the Bay, losing about 300 infamy, I decided to try this. Let's just say my results were far from stellar. Not sure I would do that again.
100 Common Piece Scrap
I just went down the shop line buying them in the order they are listed. There are 35 items in the shop.

Common Power Cells: 122
Common Parts: 4832
Uncommon Power Cells 13
Uncommon Parts: 72
Rare Power Cells: 6
Rare Parts: 56
Epic Power Cells: 3
Rare Blue Piece: 2
Rare Red Piece: 1
Rare Yellow Piece: 2

That's it!
Probably should have just bough Rare parts in the shop.

I agree with you at some poin, but! Didn't you. Notice, that threre a lot more red items in the game overall than blue yellow and ofc green. I think there might be the third point of view, that chance of every piece drop is equal to amount of all pieces in the game, for example: we have 35 items in total(19 red, 6blue,6yellow,4 green) according to this we got: red piece drop chance (19/35) blue/yellow(6/35) and green(4/35) correct me if I'm wrong, but there might be a chance of this. Cause you see the resaults,if we scrap few of them, the random is real, but there is no matter what we're scrap, if we scrap200+ items we got closer number to that theory ones.

 

I decided to evaluate the results a bit more closely and have found the following,


Using shop prices:

60 Rare Parts = 74000 Gold = 1233 Gold/Part

2500 Common Parts = 82500 Gold = 33 Gold/Part

100 Uncommon Parts = 27400 Gold = 274 Gold/Part

Rare Pieces = 62000 Gold/Piece


Using this the return on my results adds up to 558251 Gold.

So I could argue that it was a win by 58251 Gold, albeit in parts I didn’t really want/need.

I didn't include the Power Cells as we have no way of knowing the Gold value of these.

I don't think there will be more nerf because a month ago I used to get 1 rare piece Outta every 10 commons pieces of late the fig has shifted towards 12 or 13 commons for a rare from my observation.

 

They don't notify everything, as bittersteel said they got epics more frequently when game started, not the case now, is it?

 

Does this list accounts for only ur battle bay account or for all of ur contributors( captain Gilligan and all) if it does then it list is a little misleading as it points out that If one scraps about 600 commons then he/she will get 2-3 leggy pieces and this much epic pieces hope u understand my pt.
