Ban - Unexisting in game Rules

Hi everyone,
Today I opened battle bay to play for a while and I for my surprise, I discovered I was banned for 7 days. Reason? Intentional loosing.

I'll explain myself but first, there are no in-game rules in battle bay. There are forum and chat rules but that's all. So Why the f am I getting banned? No rules in the game, no post with game rules in the forum so... wtf?

Yesterday I was playing with my mk2 speeder and I dropped around 900pts in one day. From 2900pts to 2000pts. I didn't stay afk, I played until I got killed (it wasn't very difficult to kill me at that level though). So if I want to play mk2 shooter because I think is more fun I can't? The reason I dropped is because I was getting tired of playing all the time with my mk4 shooter, that's all.

And here's another thing I discovered while dropping so many points so fast. I play mk4 shooter and my best weapons are lv30(blue). In 2900pts my enemies are always mk5 or mk6 ships and with lv IV-V (blue or purple) weapons. I am a pro, my mortar strategy works really well and that's the reason why I can face high tier players.

Well, while I was dropping I noticed I didn't start facing weaker players, I still faces mk5-6 with a mk2. Even around 2000pts I still faced far stronger opponents than me. And the most funny part is that when I reached 2000pts my battle rewards for winning went from 24k-30k (more or less) to 10k-15k with 120% battle bonus! At that point I was like wtf, this game really needs many changes. It's really unbalanced.

I would like to be unbanned, there are no rules were it's specified that what I did is not allowed.

So I can't play other boats unless I pay so I have other boats at the same level? But anyway the point here is that there are no rules, if they want us to not do certain things they should tell us, not just ban. Because I didn't know this was ilegal and I had no way to know.

 

You know there are players who are competing to get to the higher leagues. They may be 1 win away from getting the 1st spot in their league of course they will get angry with mk2 being in their team. You lost 900 points you were losing more than half of your matches.

 

Wow, you're so delusional. Your main ship is a Mk4 shooter and you decide to use Mk2 speeder. The ban is justified - you were sabotaging your teams by purposely using a low mark ship. If you had your speeder at the same mark as your shooter, you wouldn't have been banned, so next time think twice before using low mark ships.

 

Again, so I can't use a low tier ship just because it would be more fun? So it's ok to play a mk4 and be facing mk5-6 ships all the fking time but it's not ok to play with a mk2 just for fun? THERE ARE NO FKING RULES, I COULD NOT KNOW IF WHAT I DID WAS RIGHT OR WRONG

 

AGREE : you're right about rules... rovio must tell us the rule (and a good tutorial, it's a joke for new player)

my main is a MK5 enforcer with 2300 infamy.
i up a speeder MK4 but not good at this.

i wanted to try other boat.
i created a new account and play mk3 fixer and MK2 defender at 600 infamy range...

 

Well, now you know so don't do it again. The 7 day ban is still justifiable for ruining others experience during your drop, regardless if you "didn't know".

 

Completely disagree. I was playing, not afk. I even won some games.

 

It doesn't take a genius to realize that what you did was wrong. These rules are not posted because all players have a brain which means they should be smart enough to realize what they're doing.

That's what I said. I wasn't afk, I was playing and I even won some battles. It's much worse all those players that just stay afk. It's a game, I should be able to play mk2 if I think it's more fun and because I want to change from playing all the time mk4 shooter.

Okay, then I guess from your point of view it would be okay if you were using a Mk4 ship and your other teammates are all using Mk1 ships. For all we know they might also be trying Mk1 ships because it's fun, so that means you'd have no right to report them for the loss which would definitely happen.

 

As long as they play and not stay afk they should be on their right to do so. If you are skilled it's not so difficult to win a game with a mk2 speeder. You are really fast and if you can distract players while your team attacks them.

 

You're obviously not seeing the bigger picture here. I give up - there no point trying to get through to you. I stand by what I said - you were sabotaging your teams and as a result you got banned. Rovio were 100% right to do so, and you are foolish to argue with them about that.

Do you do any sports? Imagine playing basketball, preferably NBA match, but one team somehow ends up playing with a 13 year old kid. Is it fair for others to lose match because of this? No.

Between 2k-3k infamy the ships are at least mk4 and you know it. Your mk2 speeder (with some 1k hp?) is gone with 1-2 hits. Just because you think it’s “fun” and your teammates lost their infamy. I think the ban serves you right for your selfishness as this is a team-based game. And obviously you’re not skilled or fast enough since you have dropped 900 infamy in one day.

If you wanna try other ships, create a new account or level up the ship you like to try. How much gold does it cost to upgrade a speeder from mk2 to mk3? 750k Gold? And from mk3 to mk4 it costs 1.575m Gold. That’s not much at your level.
