AFK players

Is there anything being done to punish or prevent players that show up in games and then do nothing?

This is ruining it for those that are competitive.

We're doing our best to ban players that intentionally do this. Often however, it is unintentional (disconnect, dead battery etc.) and in those cases it wouldn't be fair to punish the player.

 

Phone calls, Important unavoidable official phone calls, don't forget that.

I wish there was a way where you can goto your home screen, make a quick 10 second phone call and then get back into the game, but all I get is a blank black screen. I get a phone call or need to make one, no matter how short it is, even if it is like 5 seconds, my game is over.

I know I'm probably dead by the time I get back but I'd atleast like to try.

 

What are the odds that this occurs 3 times in a row?

Post a big fat warning to these users that it's their third consecutive violation, then punish them. They should then understand to lock their phones and prioritize the game if they plan to play.

I'm sorry sir but where I come from, I get official calls anytime of the day and might have to make them too.

Turning off the ringer is easy but I still have a popup blocking half my screen and I have no idea how to remove it.

 

Reporting people who never move from the beginning is advised.

 

Sure but then the devs have to observe the player. Maybe even check how many times the player did this in total of all the battles he/she has participated in. You can't just ban someone who did this once or twice but if repeated offender. Ban for 2 days. If happens again then 7 week. Next time ban for life.
