Option to choose item colors from boxes?

I think there should be an option upon opening a box or in settings which allows you to choose what color items you would like to recieve upon opening them. I think players who play shooter would be pissed at recieving an epic from a star crate just to find out its a green/yellow item. I'm not sure this is a good idea so I added a poll.

 

Not that big of an issue since scraping gives you a fair amount of needed parts

 

Anything that makes it easier for players to obtain what they want loses money and most likely won't be added

 

Would be nice, but it will never happen.

 

Even though I'd love to have this feature, it would make the game a lot less interesting. A decent portion of it right now is making what you have work as best as you can manage; if you could slant your loot a particular direction even a little bit, a lot of that would go away.

 

There is a balance to be struck here though --- The lottery with odds stacked against you (i.e. what we have now) is also keeping people like me from spending.

A fair game with player's skills would make the game far more interesting for both paying and free players.
Trust me players wo spend money on RNG are plain gamblers who won't stay nor are a majority in games.
The current matching system is the biggest reason why most new players drop the game, cause it isn't entertainment for them.
So frustrating the player base enough is just the same as announcing "we plan to close the game"

The real question is: Is this company a grab as much as you can and run type?
Or is it the type that tries to stay in the market with a product that's recognized for years?

 

I think it would be a nice to have feature but I don't think it would be implemented. The randomness helps the longevity of the game and helps players progress at a relatively even pace. I would definitely say yes if it was for a legendary item, the amount of money and effort would leave you utterly demoralized if you get something you didn't want.. legendary duct tape or bandage being the first thing to come to mind..

As an alternative and equally unlikely to be implemented would be a parts converter system. Say 25% of the purchase cost for the part to converted to another type but also at random.

One can dream.

The product has quality. Bucket loads of it. The implementation can be fine tuned over time.
