Floaters - Inactive Players

So I know we all run into the issue of having one or more players on your team or the other being inactive from the start of the round. There are a few reasons behind this I'm sure (connection drop/close app/exit match). I feel like if this happens within the first 5 seconds of the match they should really bring in a new player (Like make the countdown 5 seconds and have a button that you have to touch pre match that lets the server know you are active or something like that) Just an idea, don't know if anyone feels the same way, hate staring a match a player down, or having the only player left on your team a floater.

Server's gonna have to bring in whole teams in the matches I play.

Take your time enjoying the game and upgrading weapons at lower infamy as much as you can. I tell you it's pretty dreadful over here.

 

This is another case of people complaining because they lost a battle. Before the last update, people floating because they want to lose infamy. Now, people floating mostly because of connection, incoming call, or other priority that's more important than a single battle. When you won a battle and you saw the other team have floater or suicide player, you don't complain but you go on here complain when a player like that was on your team.

@CobraCurry , you can't put a player in a battle already started because that player probably don't know what to do. He/She probably be shocked and have to look for what ships are on the team. Not a good idea.

@CaffeinatedChris, you can't ban someone for 7 days because he/she float in a single battle. Just because you have good connection and nothing else importance doesn't mean everyone have to be like you. It's a game, you lose some and you win some. Just go to the next battle.

 

How come that enforcer still got 1 star?

 

The worst Floaters are the ones who don'y play until their whole Team is dead!! These aids infested players not only should be punched in the teeth but should be banned for life... Why do peope still do this?

I just encountered the worst floater of them all...

I forgot to take screenshot of the result screen... But the number 3 global was floating this match... Just my luck.

Just look at that screen shot, trust me, you will be surprised at what you will see.

 

Maybe if someone is floating in your team the loss of infamy should decrease and the one who float will get 40% of the infamy deduction

 

Great idea! In Vainglory you need all players to press an accept button pre-match and if a person doesn't press within 20 sec, the match is cancelled and you re roll another one. Would love to see it implemented here!

Didn't say put him into a battle in progress, just stated that if they implemented some sort of system to show a player was active and that criteria wasn't met, then that player would be replaced pre-match. And I feel just as bad for the other team when things like this happen, it's annoying putting people in an unfair match.

 

Just when everyone thought they've got all these stars figured out something new shows up.

 

I don't think floaters get any stars. Just like that shooter on that team.
