I feel like the designs of both ships should allow them to reverse backwars as fast as they move forward like the enforcer. It would also make them somewhat more viable and easier to dodge mortar blows.
Shooter and speeder both look like arrows which makes sense why going forward is faster than reversing but defender and fixer are more circular around their whole build so to me it would make sense if they reverse at full speed or at least 4/5ths of it

neither, enforcer is the only one that should have this.
they should sink to the bottom faster, cuz they heavy af. not float around when destroyed.

No. When you put a ship in reverse its propeller pushes water directly against its hull, with nowhere to go. This causes a sort of friction, because although the ship is being pulled backwards by its propeller it's also being pushed forward by the water against its hull. Thus reverse produces far less acceleration than engaging the engine forward.
The enforcer seems to have some sort of sexy dual jet engines, which actually force the water through the hull in forward or reverse, giving it almost equal acceleration in both directions.

I think fixer should have this no doubt. Fixer is in charge of healing and lately with the updates fixers are such easy targets (disclaimer I am a fixer user)
However defenders should not its big it's heavy but it's also slow and strong that's the whoule idea so it shouldn't turn on a dime

Its good the way it is and for any game a player can always move only going ahead till the end. Swerving left right and turning is important, rest defenders can have gear lubes and turbos which does the job.
