Missiles question

Somebody explain this to me because I can't figure it out. When I shoot missiles at a distance they spread out, like the description says "10 degrees". But sometimes there is an even spread, sometimes they shoot 2 on one edge of the 10 degrees and 2 on the other, sometimes they all go right around the middle of the 10 degrees. What the heck is this about, I can't find any way to predict which it will be, it is like the game is giving me my own extra little RNG every time I shoot them at a farther distance. Does anyone have an idea about this? (Yes I do understand they stay closer together at closer range, I am talking about what happens at around 30 range).

 

I think that when you are under the max (5), the slots are chosen randomly so the spread is a bit random. But when you have all five, there is no randomness because all of the slots are filled.

 

This will always be random (even with 5 projectiles). Therefore many use missiles for short to mid range. Also, not moving while shooting the missiles help. An interesting addition is that adding extra range makes it so the missiles spread out less in the same range away. Ex: shoot at 15 measures away, missiles spread let's say 30 in. But if you increase the max range, and shoot at 15 measures it only spreads (not actual measurements) 15 in.

 

I could never figure out how to use them properly. I eventually just gave up on them as at that time I thought that missile launcher was not good on fixer. I used them because it was my first epic. It was until later I found out about the greatness of Waveblower!

 

As I suspected. Lol awesome I found a way to get MORE rng into this game...
