I SCRAPPED 100 COMMON ITEMS - this is what I got

I've never gotten 1 legendary item piece in my nearly 3 months of playing. But I also don't buy commons to scrap

I play ALOT, so that means that I have gathered alot of gold during that time. I think I'm now around 7 mil that I spend on commons, and so far all I got were 2 legendary pieces. probably works to get legendaries... Eventually. But if you have to choose between parts and materials or just common items, just buy the parts and the materials.

 

Let`s ignore the legendary piece and focus just on the rare parts.
If you consider that each rare part cost 62k at the market, then it would be necessary to get at least 8.06 (500/62) Rare pieces from scrapping the commons in order match the same gold spent in the market for rare pieces.
You got yourself 10 which means you profited from this scrap.
I must say that 100 common items is a reasonably small number to reach any conclusion. We would have to repeat the same experiment over and over again. When we get close to 10 thousand common pieces I would say, then we would have a reasonable statistics to draw any conclusion.
I am willing to contribute and I`ll try to use the same method in order to make sure no other variance is introduced. Of course it would take a long time for us to get to the sample universe of 10k.
If anyone else is willing to spend 500k gold and record their findings it would help a lot.
But so far I have a "feeling" that spending money in common items is more productive in the long run than buying rare pieces from the market. Not only for gold, but you also would not have to wait 6h for the market to refresh.
I reckon similar results will be drawn from epic pieces

 

I plan to repeat the experiment sometime soon, this method of gathering Rares is very intriguing

Has anybody bought 100 commons recently? I suspect that the devs changed the odds of scraps...

Today I got only 5 rare item parts from scrapping 100 commons.

Which is odd as previously I've done it twice last week and got 8 rare item parts + 1 epic item part in 100commons. And another time I got 2 epic item parts in 100 commons...

 

9 more legendary pieces to go, then good luck to us all trying to upgrade these & then trying to find a matching item to fuse. Legendary items should have been called Ball Breakers or Pocket Burners, because if you don't spend BIG, you won't get them.

 

I only paid 20 euro for this game so far (2months vip subscription), and I collected my first legendary item (unfortunatly it was a mine). But I don't consider 20 euro as spending BIG

I have scrapped millions of gold worth of commons. I can say that the EPIC piece drop rate needs to be higher!
It is about as high as the legend piece (which may be on a pity timer?)

I also foolishly scrapped a few mill worth of uncommon...
I got the same rare pieces drop rate as I would from the commons. Huge waste of gold.
