Give us a Veteran's Chat!

When I first joined Battle Bay about a year ago, it was like a small town. Everyone knew each other. I could play a really good game, say "GG" to another player, and know that they saw it. After all, there was only one global chat.

Alas, everything comes to an end, and with global launch we needed multiple chatrooms, especially for the English-speakers. The problem with this is that everyone rarely uses any of the English chatrooms, except Dropdead Gorge. But even in that chat, nobody above 2k infamy ever talks. It's just the same 5 or so group of people that come on Battle Bay just to chat, rather than run battles.

As a Battle Bay player before global launch, a leader of a Top 30 guild, and one of Mr. Toober Nguyen's VIP Insiders, I humbly request that a "Veteran's Chat" be created. This chat would be limited to those who have at least 10k battlers under their belt. I know all the other pre-global launch players will agree with me when I say global chat currently caters to less experienced players, and VIP chat caters only to premium players. Even post-global launch players will have something to work towards!!

We already receive pearls once we reach 10k battles, however, being able to join a Veteran's chatroom would be far greater a reward than any pearl could be.

I'm just at 5k battles yet, but this seems like a great idea. I don't like the vip chat, I see the same things being said over and over again. And global chat... I don't even want to look at it, seriously global chat is the worst of all.

Giving us "veteran" players a chat for ourselves.

Maybe deleting the english chat rooms such as Chill zone, Damage Depot, and so on, and create an infamy/legaue based chat.
People in Challenger III-I can talk together, same goes for Warrior, Master, Ace and Nightmare - But those who are in Challenger, can't enter Warrior, Master, Ace and Nightmare chat. (And maybe opposite, so higher ranks can't enter lower legaue chats too)
That will also sort out players so there won't be any overcrowded chats. - About the different laguage people speak, you could keep the language system for each league
(Just an idea from me, don't take it too serious haha)

 

I agree as well! im also around 5k battles, but it would definitely be something look forward to.
I like how you are basing it off of battle experience and not infamy.

But i do want to say, i see some players with 2k+ infamy in global chat occasionally enough, and have found some great fleets in there Also, started up my guild through global chats surprisingly enough, the first 4 or 5 English chats are moderately busy, and not as...vulgar...as drop dead gorge. Just in my experience.

Again, i completely agree we need a veterans chat!
Especially as an ftp player that doesnt have VIP chat, something would be nice :,)

 

Your idea about veterans chat room is really good and has a point, as all the experienced and serious players will be there in chat room.
Some of the players like you are playing this game for a year, so have achieved 10K battles as of now, but what about players like me who have just started playing this game after the global launch but are as serious as you & devoted to this game.

I myself don't use global chat, because it is of no use to me...Players in the global chat are either new to the game or just killing their time, talking about girls and abusing. I barely find some players talking serious in global chat.
I think the veterans chat room should have a request to join option, so that only serious and experienced player can join in. Otherwise there's already a VIP chat room & majority of players can't use it bcoz of money.
(It's just my perspective)

 

i'm far from 10K battle, but totally agree, "old" player should have the possibility to have a decent chat, even for f2p

 

If you can prove they won't lose money by doing it, then maybe it will happen. Otherwise, they could create a VIP veterans chat that requires a certain number of games played to meet the threshold along with VIP membership. You could have league based chat rooms too within this (or ftp chat...again money issue though).

I love @Bobbafed99 's idea of a league based chat. That would probably work as a veteran chat too, because all you old timers are in high leagues anyway.

 

I agree with this. Global chat is a pure joke

 

They would lose lots of VIP buyers.

I only buy VIP to have somewhere to chat that isn't infested with spam and trolls

 

Maybe they should add more loot for VIP buyers, so there is a reason for buying it then, heh

 

I only buy vip becouse I don't want those ads. Over 5k battles... Imagine if I had to watch the same annoying ad over and over again for over five thousand times.
