Do you use the shop?

I was responding to a post asking if they should buy an epic item, and the thought crossed my mind. Does anyone even use the shop? Is it useful at all for the "higher level players" who already have more than tier 1 items?
I have never used the shop as I can't use it. I use mainly t4 rare and t2-4 epic items. The shop is closed to all my items. Is it useful for new players? I know the 750k gold fee for a single rare is INCREDIBLY steep for a new player. Is 3000 pearls for a single epic of your choice worth your time when you can get 10 Rares, 1+ epics, a legendary piece, and parts/cells for only 900 pearls more?
I have used the shop for my calculations as a spreadsheet with all the information of the weapons on it, but that's it :/

I use the shop for scrapping commons, that is about it
Just got the idea from a guild mate to buy rares in all my fixer equipment because i hadnt been getting any luck through boxes and want to try repair bolt.

Otherwise, nope, cant imagine ever buying an epic from there.
Rare weapons are a no go either.

 

So you just use it to spend the gold you don't need for parts/cells? How does that work fkr you? Do you get some good items every once in a while?

 

It works pretty well, i get a rare item for every say 100 commons, thats 500k so i suppose im saving 250k haha plus i can get duplicates. If you are lucky a lot sooner, more diversity in pieces too.
You can also get legendary pieces, only gotten one so far.
Plus you get some common, uncommon, rare, epic, and even legendary parts!

But like you said, it is only for when my market is out of the parts im looking for.

 

That is actually very interesting! I might spend a bit on this, it would be exilerating to scrap hundreds of commons for a chance to get some items. Did you actually get a legendary piece from one? I've only gotten 2 from scrapping RARE items

indeed i did, a red legendary piece. I cant say how many i scrapped to get there, but ive scrapped about 300 since and they are no where to be found haha. If i do ill take a screenshot tho.

It gets pretty costly and addicting though, one moment you have 700k gold, then u start buying and scrapping all trigger happy, find your down to 4k lmao

yeah it will be interesting to see! make sure you dont level them up though, then you will lose parts...
However i like to level it up to 2 or 3 because i feel like im tricking the game into thinking im not just scrapping so theyll give me more pieces hehe
