Because this game seems to be having problems with lag. My ping is <100 and there's only so much rubberbanding and missing people at point blank range that I'm willing to put up with. Sell a few Angry Birds and improve this lag, Rovio.

Blame the ppl on the other end. Some even purposely have a high ping so they r harder to shoot. Rovio has nothing to do with it

Since the Fixer update, the "no damage on point blank" has been pretty noticeable.

In case you're serious with this... I am communicating with the server, not the person with the high ping. The problem should be be for the person who has the high ping, they should be rubberbanding on their own screen. That of course is all "IF" Rovio has secured/allocated sufficient server resources.

I can assure you that it is not a server side issue. During the whole time the game has been out for more than year we haven't ever encountered a situation where the servers would have been causing lag somehow. They are way WAY overprovisioned.

The most likely cause is always using a mobile connection. They are even at best quite stormy what it comes to latency. They might show really good ping until all of a sudden no traffic goes through for few second, and then back to perfect again, until it repeats.

The ping information you see in the hub menu (unfortunately) is smoothed so much that you can't really see short spikes from it at all. It is just for measuring the overall latency you are experiencing.

So you're saying that we just have to deal with it. Copy that.

Unless you can improve the quality of your internet connection, unfortunately yes.

Haha not sure if I used that term correctly, but what it means is to shoot twice to make sure your target is dead.

Does the term "mobile connection" as used here also include wifi? I mostly play on WiFi and I still get this lag sometimes.

Wifi = errrr. Wifi to a fixed connection / wifi dsl, fibre modem etc

Id be very surprised if 99% of people arent on some sort of wifi tbh

I agree so why is the dev response talking about lag bring due to mobile connection that is not the norm without even asking if I am on WiFi or not...

You should have said something, since you didn't mention wifi and this is a mobile game, it's safe to assume u are on a mobile network.

As monobrow mentioned, most people play on WiFi. Shouldn't have to clarify that I am doing things in the most common way.

Again, might be the people on the other end. Wifi also spikes occasionally, so that might be at fault too.
