    Me again.

After noticing the Devs adjust the sugar issues and re-introducing the rare weekly quest chests, I decided to give Battle Bay one more chance. It seems you guys actually take on-board what the customers want. So here's some further suggestions for improvements.

    1. Item choice. This issue is not going to go away. It is too important for player progression to ignore. There has been a really good suggestion to give a player a choice of 2-3 items when 10 parts are fused. I hate the other ideas of re-rolls for pearls, seems too much like P2W.

    2. Epic pieces in the shop should be about 150k each (x10 = equivalent to the old entire epic item price). Reasoning: The pieces are only showing up maybe once every few days for me in the shop and hardly ever drop from a chest or scrap. Before the update, I would see an entire epic item in the shop atleast once a day for 1.5mil. I find the v2.0 doubled price for rare pieces is fair because, on average per fuse, I'm getting about 5 rewarded from chests/scrap and I'm buying about 5 from the shop. But the epic piece drops are too far and few between to justify the doubled price. They feel like they are waaaay harder to obtain and next to impossible to get doubles for evolution as choice has been removed (see point 1).

    3. Power cells need to be removed from the game. They are a completely unnecessary barrier to the already difficult evolution process. Rare parts, epic parts, sugar and duplicate items are hard enough to obtain without the need for cells. I am currently sitting on tens-of-thousands of common and uncommon parts and hundreds of the same useless common/uncommon power cells. I can't do anything with them. I can't sell them, I can't swap them for rare and epic parts/cells etc. The recent thread informing players they can evolve uncommons to scrap for rare power cells annoyed the crap out of me. This will again encourage item hoarding while players wait for multiple items to drop for evolution. Just another thing to grind. The Devs stated they introduced the new upgrade system to simplify the process. This isn't a simple method at all and seems like a sneaky way to introduce the need for more sugar. What needs to happen is to scrap power cells entirely OR allow players to upgrade lower tier cells to higher ones at the cost of a reasonable amount of sugar (pretty much the equivalent resources as now, without the rng factor of requiring the same tier item to drop for evolution and without the additional grind).

    These are my issues.

    Your move Devs.

Hello and welcome back to battle bay.

I too quit battle bay and i gave it another chance.
I realised one thing about this game. There is a pay to win but then i found out that play to win was a better choice. I kept loosing and loosing that's fine! Just keep playing and playing, one day you will succeed. If you want someone to follow, just follow blacktail. He nearly has 40k matches. Thats someone who *plays to win*. So just keep swimming just keep swimming and you will succeed! Trust me ok?

You guys are weird. I've got no idea why you worship Blacktail so hard. He/she's a person that sinks 6-8hrs a day into a mobile game, yet mysteriously doesn't contribute at all to the only forum on the web?

You would be foolish not to suspect Blacktail as being a stakeholder in Battle Bay (dev, tester, financier etc.)

Open your eyes and argue against the industry standard freemium model that BB v2.0 has adopted.

Battle Bay has captured the same excitement that gamers get when they are stomping noobs in FPS deathmatch games such as COD and BF. They have created an environment where 5 real time human players are just bobbing around, waiting to get blown the f@$k up by you whilst you wait at the dentist for an appointment, or are having a lunch break at work.

Then some marketing executive jack-ass from Rovio comes along and tells the devs to throw more obstacles at players that require payment to remove, and BAM! The fun is over.

I partially agree with you Jammo. I'm also a little curious about the identity of blacktail because he does spend really long time on this game each day. Yet I often talk to him in the game, he is a good fella, so I don't want to say bad things about him no matter whoever he turns out to be.
And for the lovely devs: I'm one of the players who deleted coc and such games for this game since last year May. And I like this game a lot and so payed a lot over the past year. However, I just want to be honest with you guys, the fact is recently I have been playing much less and paying almost nothing because I don't feel as fun as before. And my girlfriend had stopped playing.
The 5vs5 battle type is still fun. I think the major issue now is on the weapon upgrading and shopping system.
Leveling up and evolving equipment's tiers has been the most time consuming but most important part of this game since ever. And there is a long blank time between each tier for us to collect enough martials. For the old version, there are lots of things we could do to shorten the waiting time. And even when we couldn't, at least we could spend the time to cumulate bolts and training cannons to make the upcoming levellings quicker. So generally we had multiple ways to deal with it. Up to our minds to choose. This multiplicity was good. While in this new version, everything is settled. For each level all players spend the same amount of sugar, parts, cells. And the boxes is no longer random, we get 3 common and 3 uncommon each day, and rare+epic boxes are purely pearls. So during the long waiting time there is much less we can do now. And the complexity of parts and cells and pieces does generate some nonsense such as the common cells not being used by anyone and the common parts are often in lack. Now I feel I'm only opening this this game once every 8 hours to collect the boxes. The rest time is all boring waiting.
And, about the old fusing system. I heard you guys saying new players don't get it. While my opinion is that the fusing system was one unique point of this game by the old time and it's easy to teach and learn. The new leveling system(parts, cells, sugar) is really complicated, as a top20 player myself I couldn't handle it well for over these three weeks, do you really expect the new people to love it? Plus lots of other games had made this kind of systems, so it's no longer unique. A common, rigid system can never beat a unique, flexible system. Like my professor always say: complexity generates bugs. Most people don't pay to win, they pay to have fun.
Sum up, a good phone game should be simple and flexible, but now it is a little complex and rigid. I still love this game and will keep playing for a while. The effort made by devs is admirable. Yet, I do hope we can somehow make this game as attractive as before, bring the excitement back. To restore our App Store rating scores, there are things needing to be done.

20170413_090908.png How does this shop help my progression? I need rare parts and cells. I've got more than enough useless common and uncommon parts. Why even bother selling these lower tier parts? If I could upgrade them to rare parts with some sugar then it would make more sense!

While yeah, the shop has only 8 displacements now, and uncommon parts often take 2-4, that's a disappointment sometimes.

Just to prove how big a scam BB is running now, I bought one of those rare pieces for 62000 and scrapped it. I got 15 rare parts back. 15!? Are you serious? What a joke this game has become

Thats a point i have to backup sadly. I hate the update bashing and i like most improvements a lot - The game is awesome, but the meta game (items, leveling, shopping etc) lost a lot of its drive to me and my friends. i play with a crew of local buddys, and i think right now most of them only play a little or left completely. I gave this new system a hard grind, played a lot in the beginning. i got lucky with item droprate as well, got allready 2 complete epics out of quest boxes and combined one, but still the drive is gone somehow. i did not yet figure out what is the reason for this, but i think i was one of those players who enjoyed the meta game a little more than the batteling itself. e.g. i mean, i remember when i finished my super rare quest box on the weekend and met with my buddys to open questboxes together. this is not as exciting as it used to be, even if droprates of items are better than before.

On the other side: this update is now 3 weeks old, i just got 6 rare quest boxes so it is impossible right now to make a conclusion about any rates or item developement speed. if i look closely, i see that my leveling did not get any slower after sugar update (but i did not evolve any good item yet.) Maybe these changes are so massive that players who were used to the old system need a lot of time to get used to the new one.

i spend a lot of time thinking if i am going to post this, because i do not want to pair up with the update bashers and haters out there and i do not have a better feedback. This is a point where i usualy stop posting. But hey, thats what it feels now and i want to share it. take it, evaluate it, or dont.

    I feel you @Splash0rboy3000
I agree that before the update the good old super rare quest boxes and the epic boxes,I really love them and every time I open them there is a feelin' of excitement and looking forward to the things I get.But now, yes, the premium chest gave me epic items in my second account, but in my main account it ended up every rare useless item and the process is always the same:eek:: open premium chest--scrap the rare item---get rare pieces and parts, and that's it.This cycle repeats Everytime with no excitement at all.i remember before when I open super rare boxes,I always get excited, then I got rare items and evolve the ones that are useful, and fuse the ones that are not sutible for me.Also, sometimes when I got a good rare/epic item before,I can fuse some other unused items to it,and it makes out and I get bring them in battle.BUT NOW,. . . . . .
The only thing I like about the meta game is combining items.i surely have much more epics and when I combine my epic red piece,I got things that I want(dream weapon)
I just want to share my opinion, feel free to comment :)

While I appreciate the developers think the new upgrade/evolution process is easier and better, the fact is it is anything but.

Since the update my ability to upgrade & evolve has slowed significantly, whether by the decreased access to resources, or not being able to come across enough parts needed to achieve those goals. The new shop frequently gives me nothing of use, haven't had any part or perk that benefitted me in the past 7 days. The shop before the update gave me wider access to weapons and equipment that was useful, and buying the pieces that didn't were not a problem as they could be used for upgrading or sold back in an easier process.

The rare pieces are pieces of (censored), I've spent 3,100,000 on them and have only gotten worthless junk and then to scrap them I get compensated with very little, the 3 battle bonus boxes you get always provide too little or pieces that do not help.

I brought a bunch of people into the game from another, everyone was enjoying it before the update but now that has decreased, more than a few have left the game completely as a result or have stopped spending any money on it as I have.

The other major issue with the game is the skewed MM and the sadly lacking inability to form squads with people you want to which is one of the basic core concepts of PvP games. Far too often I see mk5 or mk6 players going against mk2 and mk3, leaving the lower players no chance to compete.
Then when we add in that there are a tremendous amount of horrible players in this game who do nothing to help in any way or make idiotic suicide solo runs against the full red squad, it ruins this game with the simple fact I can not build squads of my choice who I know will benefit and play well. I would hope the developers fix that before releasing it globally, because when a wider audience sees those faults, they wont play or will drop ratings low on Battle Bay.

For giving constructive feedback - it would be more helpful to put down your thoughts and ideas concisely and post them in the suggestion forum.

I'm a huge advocate of removing power cells as well... but I'm not sure what's the issue with item hoarding? I have more of an issue with a tiny inventory that requires tons of pearls to expand so that you can keep copies of items while you wait for power cells to magically arrive again.
