Epic perks

    Are there any that aren't worth that good chunk of gold? I had a +60 hp to any item come up and I passed on it. Wondering if it was a mistake

    I believe each rarity of perk will always cost the same gold ? (could be wrong). I've only even seen uncommon and rare, but they have always cost the same amount as others of the same rarity.

    Since the game is globally launched.. ( almost 2 months ago?) ... i have not seen one single epic perk as no single epic weapon in my shop...

    Epic perks usually pops up in my store a few times a week. Only buy the one you REALLY need. Not the crappy "all use"-kind

    I can understand passing on the 60hp perk, I wouldn't know where to put it either.

    What level are you?
    Epic perks cost 1.2million+, not much use in them showing up in shops that belong to players with a lower gold cap. They will come eventually, but they are ´rare´.

    First of all, if you are low in gold it was the right decision to not buy that +60 hp perk, there are way better ones out there. I guess I see one in market once in 2 days and they always cost the same, good luck :)

    I had the gold saved to buy it. Just didn't want to have a better one pop up next. And it's the first one I've seen. Level 25.

    i had an epic perk once. 1% dmg boost to any weapon :) pass...

    I had an epic perk once. +150 HP to shield. Would have bought if I had $1.2 mil gold :mad:

    This is wrong...epic weapons cant be found in the shop, but epic perks can be still.

    No...he sayed epic weapons cant be found anymore...do you know the difference between weapons and perks? Perks are not weapon pieces...

    lol mods dont like threads from so long ago but u get somewhere around 400k give or take around 50k on both sides. different epic perks give slightly different amounts of gold

    It's still a relevant question, as is the thread itself (Are there any perks not worth it?) so no harm no foul in my mind.

    To answer the titular question, the "applies to all items" perks are never worth it in my opinion, and the weapon-specific perks of choice depend on the item. For most Cannons, you usually want the +Damage or +Burn Damage perks - the Crit Chance and Crit Amount aren't worthwhile there. But on the Sniper Cannon, you absolutely want to load nothing but the Crit Chance perks so that you can drive your DPS up.

    For certain ship/item combos they are totally useful!
    For example you can reach a mk6 speeders speed cap even with a rare turbo, if you had an epic 5 one you could add 60hp or 1.5% damage to all weapons on it without losing any speed at all.
    There are also no perks for missiles, and nobody knows for sure if added range is really a good idea on them.

    Good examples! Perhaps it would be better to say "are almost never worth it compared to item-specific perks" - because there's always an exception.

    Regarding missiles, you'd have to ask someone who uses them, but currently added range is offset by the increased spread. If the range perk increased range while keeping the projectile spread the same at the new improved distance, it could certainly change that.
