Intentionally loosing

I've only been playing for a couple of months..reached 22 today and have all boats at MK3. Highest infamy I've reached is around 900..pretty poor some may say?
With the amount of damage I regularly do..boats destroyed..or heal amounts I could be higher infamy..BUT..I am constantly teamed up with players who race off solo and die..
or sit there idle. Imo both actions are as bad..the ONLY reason to do this is to drop infamy.
Therefore..the whole reward system is completely wrong. This is supposed to be a team game after all..yet the whole team gets punished for 1 or 2 players who had no intention of winning.
I know I'm not the only one to experience such gameplay..chat is FULL of frustrated players who are doing their part but losing infamy AND sugar/gold because of people purposely dropping infamy.
Some have said that this kind of gameplay isn't "wrong"..try telling that to all the new players who are trying to compete and improve..only to be screwed over by selfish players with MK4+ boats and epic weapons..who could be helping..but instead purposely lose because they can get more rewards quickly that way. How many players have quit because of this..some who may have decided to start paying for in-game stuff?
So..the only way to stop this is for infamy/sugar/gold rewards to be given for how well YOU did..with a bonus for a win.
Doing low damage..low heals or no capture gets minimal rewards..that way..nothing is gained for "suiciding".

Does this prove infamy tanking? What on earth is an mk2 speeder doing in this match? He just rushed of on his own, 1 vs 5, he probably landed a lucky crit before he got destroyed. If this isn't a good example of infamy tanking, then plz explain me why.

 

They aren't infamy tankers. You will see lots of mk1 and 2 speeders in ace league. They usually run high level turbo and overboosts and provide scout views for friendly team as well as a good distraction.
