    I'd say a buffed out cannon and two tesla shields, but that won't work anymore anyways. I'm considering swithing out long range for regular mortars, more damage and less reload. Only thing is long range mortars get faster projectiles.

    Buff rare turbo!
    It's probably the main reason that there are so many mortar spamming complaints on here.
    That huge nerf that none of you can remember was way too extreme.
    Is there any other item in the game that has such a huge gap between rare and epic?

    if you're gonna use mortars... LRMs are the best as of the moment... bertha is deadly, but you need to combo it with freeze or with another weapon (1 that will stop enemies from moving about freely) to make it effective... standard mortars are only good for spamming and wishing for a little luck. the OB nerf will definitely help with better hit rates for mortars against yellows and fixers
