What are the gray boxes under gold from season reward?

    I know I could just wait until the season is over but I need to know what these are as I could gain a little bit more infamy and get one more of these boxes but I lose 20k gold. Is the box worth it over gold?

    I was told they are captain points, which unlock badges of some sort.

    They are season points. They upgrade your badge which is located above your xp bar in the top left

    It is just a cosmetic feature that has no connection to anything else in the game, nor does it affect your battle strength in any way. If you would like to know more about these badges and season points, see the spoiler for season point requirements for each badge.

    NOTE: There is a minor mistake in the chart! You should move all numbers one step to the right, for example 100 points is requirement for the second badge, not the first (requirement for that is obviously 0 points). Do this and you will see the correct point requirement for each badge.
