I would like the item "randomizer" to be more random

I've been stuck at level 10 on most of the items I use regularly and I can't for the life of me get a second to evolve anything. The items I don't use get handed out like candy... I had this concern after 3 rare rudders, and now that I'm up to 4 rudders without seeing half of all other rare items it is frustrating. In fact my first (and only) two epic items are duct tape and frost blaster, neither of which I can use on the shooter which is my primary ship (and everyone else's at that level). I'm sure the system is purposefully holding back to keep things even, but it would be nicer to have a little more control. Yes, purchasing a first item is possible, but they are all cost prohibitive.... for example, each epic item costs 3000 pearls ($25 cash).

 

I'm only 22, so epics aren't applicable. Being unable to evolve any of the items I rotate through for many levels now makes me feel stuck, and difficult to compete when I'm at a loss as to how my opponents are blasting me for 600-1000 points per shot, when the best I can muster is 300, and that's only with railgun or big berta, neither of which are ideal weapons.

The system's not purposefully holding back anything... I think there are as many examples of lucky people as unlucky ones (though the unlucky ones are far more likely to come to the forums and complain). I've got 4 rare cannons myself, and it's my main weapon. But I also scrapped quite a few rares and even 2 epics because I wasn´t going to use them. In the end if you get enough rare boxes you´ll always get stuff you need and stuff you don´t need.

Also keep in mind that the fewer ships you play, or rather, the fewer items you use, the lower the chance is that you get something you need.

 

That is contradictory, but ultimately proves my point. Sounds like it would be best to use a different ship and different weapons to get the ones I want. The game does seem to be balanced fairly well in that and other respects. Today I was browsing leaderboards and noticed that with few exceptions everyone is in the 49-51% range for win percentage.

 

Uh dont even think of epics even above that.Im at 1700 infamy and use only rares.My only epic is an epic carronade.Its a late game item so its useless now.Like the big guys advice us focus on your rares less you get an epic item which you use.Its been 50 days and my rare cannon is still at level 10 lmao.But yesterday I got another rare sniper so its T3 now.The game also keeps giving me rare blast cannons lol.I have 4 in total one of which is T2.By the way extremely jealous of that epic railgun of yours!!!Its my 4th weapon so I would love to have that lol.

 

Yea I mean 5 epic parts cost like 84k gold lol.

 

Eh, how is that contradictory? It's simple math. If you have a random outcome with a certain amount of possibilities, then the more of those possibilities you see as positive, the greater the chance of a positive outcome when you draw one item.
