PLEASE buff firebomb

    Please, buff the firebomb weapon.
    I played the defender in this game, and met this army of shooters with firebombs. I got hit at the very rim of the blast, and the damage was a 24 sec DOT with 120 DPS, adding up to over 2880 damage.
    Checked the battle log, it was done by an epic tier 5 firebomb.
    I like using the grenade and engage in close combat. With a Lv50 epic grenade, simple calculation suggests that I need a direct center critical hit to get close to the damage of that firebomb.

    Please check your data and see how much damage different weapons have done in maps like midfight movies or crash and burn.
    Since the only number you take into account for loot is the total damage, you are encouraging players to use long range weapons and stay back until all other teammates are dead.

    Cowards get the most loot in this game.

    Fast ships who get to the back of the enemy and kills their healer before dying with a 6000 damage are rewarded less than shooters who equip themselves with nothing but mortars, sniper cannons and mines who maintain full HP when all other teammates are slaughtered and they really do deal the most damage because they live for over 3 minutes!
    Blame is on those who do not use their teammates as shields and die first.

    There is only one right way to play enforcer: to use two tesla shields. You designed for the enforcer to have the highest agility, but how many enforcers are really using this agility in close range combats?
    There is only one right way to play shooter: to stay close to the healer. and never march forward alone because everyone who does that dies first with the least damage.
    There is only one option for blue slots: the biggest shield possible. I have not seen any ship that does not carry a shield, even before you gave everyone the highest ship agility.

    I loved this game, have been VIP for a year, spent a few hundred bucks on chests, been a guild leader since the first week and made 24 friends, and led a few of my friends into this game which I now regret very much.
    I thank that firebomb, for letting me make up my mind.

    So please, buff the firebomb, let every player enjoy the game the way you intended them to.
    And I will be saving an hour of my life every day since today.

    From that perspective, it's a bit hard to tell ...

    Just fyi .. the splash circles are generated at the time of launch and would hit exactly in the center - if the waves were frozen at the point of launch.

    But waves move.

    From the pic, it looks like rather than hitting the peak of the wave, it traveled further along it's trajectory until it hit the low part of the wave.

    In other words, if you ignore the splash circle and paint a new one, based on where it actually hit, you were on the outer rim of the inner dot.

    I'm sure you've noticed this with grenades not hitting where the splash circle suggests it will ..


    Otherwise, all games have a slight bit of lag and hit boxes are not pixel perfect - even for huge budget games like Fortnite.

    I rather not have a game where firebombs are spammed.... more than before.

    From the content of his post, I get the impression that the OP actually wants Fire Bombs nerfed rather than buffed.

    And I agree with the general sentiment of his post, that camping weapons like FB and Sniper should not be nearly as effective as they are.

    Welp, the tide has shifted.

    And I'm sure it'll work it's way down.

    Enforcers are insanely OP post weapon buffs --> shooters started keeping their distance and spamming --> enfos couldn't get close enough to do damage so they switched ships or stopped playing --> speeders saw an opportunity - fewer DB enfos and more spamming shooters .. and they've taken full advantage.

    Speeders with 10k hit points, plus Tesla shield (and 20k HP worth of unregistered hits), plus the ability to zoom around the map about 10 times faster than any other ship is apparently OP .. who woulda thunk.

    Shooter with a bandage has a tad over 10k hit points. Speeder flare (2400 damage + less healing) + EC (3000 damage) .. 2 rounds of shots and the shooter is dead ..

    Luckily, the shooter can get one registered hit off for 750 damage -- that'll teach 'em.

    Two rounds of shots might be doable in a 1v1, but when the unfriends are camping, and your teammates are camping, then it’s pretty difficult to make anything happen in a short ranged Speeder. You’d be lucky if you’re able to get close enough to land even one shot before being vaporised.

    Yeah .. I recall. You're a magnet for all enemy projectiles.

    Now, imagine that you're trying to return the enemy fire when you constantly have speeders chunking your health.

    The only thing worse is being a fixer right now. Even with mines, sniper, and carronades, I can't keep my fixer alive.

    Here's my last 5 + a bonus ..

    I have another 30 or so matches with the same stuff (or 250 worth of lost infamy) .. all from last night.

    Buff Firebombs and force kids to go play outside. I like this idea.

    Just make it full duration and full damage throughout the entire radius and increase radius to 4 - 5. This should stop "FiRbImB HiT mE Fir 20 SeC aT oUtEr RiNg" complaints.

    If spamming is the issue, then we should get rid of all mortars, torpedoes, and mines along with FB.... making the game all about close contact. If not, then the argument isn't very credible.

    They need to be nerfed, not buffed. It's the weapon of choice now for people with zero skill.

    As someone who uses OB TS Nitro, dude. We're killing it post-update. People like @Xryn got to world top 50 without DB. I personally got to almost 3.6k infamy this season with my build.

    There's a lot of enforcers playing the close game. However. You're right in that we still stay midrange most of the time. The reason for this is that our turrets glance of targets at close range. Plus one of our most effective tactics becomes nigh useless at close range.

    Duct tape fixers are a fun gimmick setup .. but your team is going to play more recklessly thinking you have their back .. and fixers are far easier to hit than speeders, so I don't really see the trade off as worth it ..

    That said, I don't have any issue with them - particularly when they spell it out it in their name - but I don't see it as a strong setup outside of 1v1 situations.
