    Dear rovio,
I know matchmaking might be a hard thing to do but why am I facing level 40s and 30s?it's literally seal clubbing.
    Here is a suggestion.

    1. Matchmaking shall not have players greater than 2 levels or less than 2 levels below the player. Which means if a player is lvl 10, the max level they can go against is a lvl12 or a minimum of a lvl8. Then follow rule 3.this excludes custom matches.
2: before the game starts it checks players ping, if ping is bad or unstable (about 300 and above) it kicks that player out with a prompt thg says their ping is too high and finds a new player for that game.
The person with horrible ping will need to fix their connection.
3: gear score shall not be higher than the players gear score of more than 100 and no lower than 100.
    4. Floaters will be stuck in floater tartarus, they will be given marks every time someone has marked them in game for a certain amount. They will be put in a lower matching que with longer wait times with other known floaters.
    5. Those with good, great or excellent behavior shall be rewarded with something that can be agreed upon.

The problem with your suggestions is, if implemented, it will take forever to create a match. Only way this is possible is if you play against the bots which is the case below level 10, where matchmaking is cometely fair but you also have to play against bunch of bots and players.

Yeah .. they could have a seperate infamy ladder for each gear score and each ship level .. of course you'd see infamy differences in the thousands being matched together and people intentionally lowering their gear score for easier matches .. with a 47-minute matching queues.

But that's one way to go.

It's odd though .. A few thousand HPs (or 1-2 shots) difference doesn't seem to make that big of a difference. My game must be bugged.

I've suggested infamy floors before. I'll go ahead and make another thread

An unstable connection may make a person skip around but you generally can't tell when you're playing high latency or ping player ..

    Nerd talk:
The way it generally works is everything you see in match has already happened (a split second ago). Player devices send information about what they do to the BB server and the server sends updates to the player about what everyone else did (with a split second delay).

When you fire a shot, it rewinds time and player positions to the moment you fired (based on your estimated transmission speeds) to see if there should be a hit recorded. The targets ping isn't taken into account.

Errors in calculations and in pixel precision of hit boxes may cause unregistered hits, especially on faster or more agile ships .. The most obvious errors are against nitro users.

I'm not sure how they handle the split second differences in waves but that probably causes some issue too.

I don't think it would as the suggesting numbers can change, they just need to figure out an ideal stop gap.Mostly just having the game separated by level could cut lvl50 and 40s showing up with low level players.I would rather have 50% of my games be loss cause of missed shots or bad plays than 90% of my games losses because everyone else is higher level than me with higher damage items.

Plus why not have a pve practice mode, it can help with practicing items without having to wait on custom and you can implement the boats to act like a player.Like leagues doom bots and it still could count for quests only if you have 5 real players.

The game just needs something that can make it fair and dissuade seal clubbing and floating as much as possible

99% of us have around a 51% win rate ... if yours is around 10%, you might want to make a thread with a screenshot your profile and ask why yours is so low.

It's not that low but it's around .49 but it still doesn't help with matchmaking problems.
