Interceptor pieces

anyone else notice a new currency to even buy the interceptor? Looks like 1000 to get it.

I’m really hoping they give tickets based on how much time we played. IE played time or something to not just say here’s new items pay us.

Or better yet let us trade in Powercells for the new currency.

But history shows there will be a “offer” a couple days after it opens.

 

I expect you'll have to earn (or really.. buy) these pieces.
They'll probably run an offer as you say the first couple of days.

Notice that the video ends with "We'll release new items and ships in the coming months".
What we're seeing here is probably the tip of their new monetisation strategy.
Drip release new ships and items, get players to buy pearls to unlock ships.

 

Sigh. Almost as bad as their 2x offer loot boxes for the Gatling gun.

You think it’s a good chance but the odds are normally 1/34

So 2x is still 1/16 but poor old spend money and get disappointed.

Really just gambling at this apoint with a FPS.

I’m sure it will get regulated like the real thing 1 day.

 

I'd bet the new currency will be earned in events (also available for purchase). The timing with battle coins being recently eliminated is too much of a coincidence.

 

I thought it was 10,000 not 1,000.

 

It is ship pieces, and they are in the shape of a puzzle piece. Also once the ship is unlocked you see that the interceptor takes 100 ship pieces to level the ship to lv2. So this new ship might only be able to be leveled with the new currency.

 

When I first saw the Interceptor, my initial feeling was that it’s a really OP ship. Basically all the OP firepower of a Shooter, but with Nitro/Overboost. There is a no way a Speeder can stand up to that thing, and probably can’t outrun it either.

But now that I see this puzzle piece shenanigans, it makes me worry that the new ship is supposed to be OP, and that it’s going to be an ‘easy mode’ option, that is only really available for p2w.

I think everyone should consider stop levelling up cause you don't know the impact of BBv4 to ur current sugar, gold or pearl.

My 4 day Buzzkill training ends in 4 hours. After that I will not be starting another training, in the event the update drops on Friday(I recall a lot of battlebay updates have dropped on Fridays).
In the meantime I am going to go through my training and RE-TRAIN all my crew member talents away from any universal training talents such as + % in Reward Boxes. Because likely your "selected" talents will carry-over, and your unselected talents will have to be trained after the update drops. Since the reward box talents will likely not carry over, I will go ahead and get rid of those selections.

It would be nice if a DEV or a DEV thru an MVP, could at least prepare us for the two things that have everyone confused:
-How will ship conversions work, MK level to new 1-50 level.
-How will our existing talents be carried over

The game makes more money by not telling us. So I am not hopeful we will get any answers.

I'm sure the new currency will be a prize in events, just as Weee said. However, they should also include it in all boxes (with different drop levels) and finally take powercells out of the game.

Not Canadians. Pot just became legal today. That should soften the landing for just about anything. We are open for visitors if anyone else needs soothing

I’m assuming they will handle training like the rudder/lube rework, and allow you to select training skills for the skills they eliminate. Also, if you have a maxed crew tree (Burnice for example) I hope they will give you the equivalent of a maxed Flare & Napalm, since you’ve already “completed” both weapon talents.

 

There's a lot of evidence around regarding its usefulness and effectiveness in a multitude of different medical conditions, the world is finally starting to wake up to how useful it can be. But that's for another thread
