Nope.. it is a buff enforcer, speeder and defender thread which are dominated by overused Shooter.
But rather buffing all, it will be easier nerfing shooter.
So its a Nerf Shooter Thread as the title say.

 

It will be removed away forever.
So there is no sense to ask such question

The Way you are replying its sure u use shooter and hate yellows

 

first : shooters have the second lowest agility and speed after defenders .

second : no mobility ( yellow) items.

third : too much HP ? nno really if you compare it to others : a Mk7 shooters with 1 big shield is ~= a enforcer with 1 big shield +1k hp or a speeder with 1 big shield and 1 standard shield and less than a fixer with 2 standard shield.

now yes shooters are OP when they used double SC or double FB or double RG and that is because SC is way too OP ,and FB is bugg-ly OP ,

and for double RG well it is not OP unless when it becomes "spamming" ,
and that is one of that annoying problem that made me stop playing ranked matches now , some shooters use 2 RG and 2 SC + X they don't need to be close (depends on the map) and just shoot you you can't reach them ,
or they use 2 mortars + 2 RG.. it is nearly the same , or....etc .

 

I am glad that finally some raised the voice against opness of shooter.
Shooter definately need a nerf.
I hope dev listen to him.

 

To be honest, the strength of a shooter depends immensely on the weapons you use. And what's the strongest build for a shooter so far? I don't know, maybe one that involves the overuse of the flame combos?! I mean seriously, the flame combo is WAY TOO FORGIVING. It's making shooters a lot dumber. I'm serious here. Too many shooters are getting away with mindlessly chasing burning enemies just to get 2k+ dmg PER SHOT. DOES ANYONE SEE THE REAL ISSUE HERE?!

 

There is a class of shooter called Brawlers.
They play on front and deals massive dmg.
That sounds like what defender should be doing.
Now assume I m a guy who likes to play at front. What should i use.
Defender or Shooter??
Why the ship with most power have so much hp. It should be more fragile so Defenders can take the lead.

 

When focussing on multiple red items it's already sort of a nerf to hp since you use resources on weapons more than shields, at least from what I've seen...

 

Brawler shooters wouldn't exist if the flame combo wasn't so linient.

But thats only part of the problem.
Shooter can't be flanked now too. Its everytime you vs 5 reds of shooter. Which doesn't end well for any ship.

 

Fire is only viable option for speeder(2 slots) and enfo(1 point weapon) to do comparable dmg.

 

Not really.. everyone know how imp. Big shield is. Firebomb does have talents against hp but it clearly not enough.

 

What if they buffed the frost torp combo? It would deal as much damage in the past. But to make it a challenging, it would still go away in a single shot

 

Defenders can't use frost. And its their role shooter have overtaken mostly. Yellows are mostly disturbed by shooters ability to unflank them.

 

They should weaken the base damage of firebomb and buff the FB talents, so those shooters who spam firebomb know that there are tradeoffs when it comes to using strong weapons.
