    Speeder is in same state as defender. State of being trash against Shooters and enforcers.

    After the event ended I switched to mk5 enforcer. I was able to hold my own at 3500 infamy. So it's looking like I'll be hanging up speeder as well unless the devs throw speeder a bone with some higher hp and more speed. Loved speeder, built my game around it. RIP speeders.

    Next thread in suggestion forum: remove speeder win quests from the game. I typically carry my guild whenever there is a speeder quest, won't be able to do it anymore.

    Personally I think speeder didnt got nerfed, it actually gained lots of new moves. But Its the other ships i.e Shooter and Defender got more from this. Enfo always had the agility to deal with a speeder, now every ship can do that. Some buff is required.
    @TheAntiSnipe speeder is always hit and run, previously it was going little round and enemy now you have run more agility helps but speed liit seems less for this fast paced world.
    Speeder not dead though.

    Got to 3500+ yesterday with the old hit 'n' run style I'd left behind for my duel style ages ago. I can't believe it's viable now!

    Remember the vision play I used to make? I thought people had adapted to it, but instead I get a 3-second window to inititate without getting hit.

    Apparently high league shooters have become complacent post-3.2. Speeders, please apply this and tell me what happens!

    Anyways, in my personal opinion most speeder styles have been nerfed, but the boat itself still has potential. It just isn't that good of a boat anymore but you can still make good use of it. I see a viable strat being keeping some distance and using mid-range items like grenade and ex cannon

    You can see it in my "Terminal Velocity" video:

    Look at the first game, my duel with the defender. I deceived him into thinking I was coming in from the front
    (remember, when no other enemy can see you and none of your friends can see your target, when your target disappears from your radar, you disappear from theirs... I kinda remember the time taken for disappearance by heart;))
    and came in from the side.
    Then again, there's this one:

    The video is about a "vision kite" where I make the enemy team look behind their backs, ESPECIALLY THEIR FIXER, who forgets to look at his teammate who had overextended to the front line and needed help, causing the teammate to die.

    Either way, that's what I was referencing. Enemies have gotten lax as to their turret positions, due to 3.2, meaning that these old tactics that only worked in Ace 2 and below are now viable:D

    I think you’re right, it still has the ‘potential’ to be really good. But I feel that realising that potential has become overly difficult, or inconsistent at best.

    Inconsistent is the right word. Even with my new style of playing it, people can still snap back and shoot me in a second. Against veterans and old-school players, it is definitely inconsistent.

    At first I was pretty disappointed about how much worse my Carronade was going to be, but now I don't feel like I'm much worse off with the update. I still use Speeder as my primary ship, and still do fine with it. If I'm fast enough, I can still stay behind the enemy's turret for a bit, even with the increased agility.

    Switch over to bdziryan .. this is one of a dozen or more I could post, but was one I already had saved to look at later.


    Let's look at this setup .. Dual Grenade, Nitro, OB, TS, Big Shield, Dual Bandages

    Hit points/repairing -
    Although this trend is currently more common with enfos, you'll start to see more and more speeders (with a decent OB/Nitro) ditching the turbo as well - giving them 3 shield/bandage blue items.

    On top of the big shield - BD has about 340 HP coming in every 5 seconds (or over 4k/min) with dual bandages, but also has the option to switch over to dual small shields - that would give him more HP than mk7 shooters.

    ** Yes .. you heard that right. The smallest, fastest, 2nd most agile, hardest-to-hit ship in the game has the option of using an obviously effective build that is more tanky than 3 of the 4 other ships. **

    Oh ... on top of all that, speeders have the option to use a TS - that can easily absorb more damage (and discourage more shots from being taken) than a big shield. And, we still have the nitro teleport ability sending unfriendly shots into the void since 2016.

    Attacking -
    The extra speed and agility allows speeders to engage on their terms vs slower ships, positioning themselves behind cover, tossing up a shield, dropping their load and speeding off (mitigating the extra number of weapons on other ships) ...


    Anywho, I'm on board (ship pun) .. Speeders should get an extra yellow slot so they can run double bubbles too .. and they should definitely nerf the other 4 boats so the speeder is easier to play.



    PS - yes, my next 8-900 epic cells are going towards these builds ... it should only take me 18 months with the cell RNG rate.
