Agility and turret rotation fix suggestion

    It is great that the dev team made the decision to retire gear lube and rudder. People, including me, seem to be unhappy with the new maxed out values as they lack control. I do believe that the dev team will listen and adjust this again very shortly to make the game playable.

    Here is one suggestion on how this adjustment can be done:
    • Use the base agility and rotation levels from the MKs for the different ships
    • Apply epic rudder and gear lube (without using the items) to each ship. This will give you something comparable to what people who were using the items had before. Even with maxed out epics (excluding perks) the uplift was only around 70%. I would also keep the agility and rotation talents and introduce a new captain for the new gun that can be combined with some new talents
    • Might not be a bad idea to scale the epic rudder and gear lube level by MK. E.g. Mk7, MK6,-> Lvl5, MK5 -> lvl4, MK4 -> lvl3, MK3 -> lvl2, MK2,MK1 -> lvl1. This is just an example but you get the idea.
    This accomplishes a couple of things:
    • Keep some differences in agility and rotation between MKs which will reward people for upgrading ships and training captains. Also playing at higher levels of agility and rotation may require more experience so that will scale nicely
    • Bring these values to more manageable level compared to the new maxes

    Again, I think the dev team will keep making adjustments based on feedback and play data and I hope the above can be useful. Please save this game!

    I agree some adaptation will happen, but based on my experience with the event I don't think it will be enough. I played the max agility event but the only boat I could sort of control was a defender. Even then the turret was swinging all over the place requiring to always use lock and making leading shots way too hard. Part of this could be that I'm playing on a phone where being super precise (now required based on much more sensitive controls) is physically difficult.

    Anyway, let's see what happens. I'm definitely trying to be constructive here as opposed to just complaining and wanted to propose something that preserves some of the evolution dynamics which I think is fair.

    In the event I used a lot of shooter. But now in the ranked game, I'm forcing myself to play enforcer. At first it was difficult because I gets nausea, but now I'm doing well.

    After enforcer, all the boats seem slower.

    I am super disappointed with the agility aspect of this update. With my load-out, hitting Speeders and Enforcers is now highly improbable. Effectively turning my ship also happens to be highly improbable. I hated that agility special quest a few weeks back, so after a few games I avoided it. Now that this has happened, I'll play 3-games a day for the goodies, and then retire until this is (hopefully) resolved!
