Still think that Double Bubble is Not OP? (Nerf the Bubbles)

    Hey everyone,

    Last DUO event made me write this post about our favorite double bubble enforcers. As they (and speeders) were dominating over that event only because of tesla bolts and I think stun duration must be reduced at least twice in that event. My team (2 shooters) win ratio against at least one tesla bolt is ~10% or even less, all about if tesla bolt land successfully ;)

    Ok, back to the topic =) I tried to breakdown maximum damage by weapons (all t5 epic) to see which ones are most efficient against tesla shields. Damages in table should be close enough to gauge.

    As seen from table railgun is the best counter against tesla shield. It wasn't that bad before hp perks for tesla shield, but now it's much harder to break bubble by yourself with one shot.

    Questions for Devs:
    1. If grenade lands on TS is crit chance considered with additional fire damage?
    2. If TS ship on fire is additional damage to ship on fire considered?

    In both situations TS prevail.
    Ts ignores crits and fire bonus, this includes grenade.

    I have written up a similar dmg comparison..

    I think crits should apply to TS, will be a good balance. You know what would be a real nerf, tho? Crit damage that crosses the TS' threshold will do ACTUAL damage. Grenades will tick for fire, sniper crits will penetrate for any extra damage, mortar bullseyes will now be a risk, as the bullseye damage is a crit, thus making mortars a little bit more of a threat.


    For example, if a TS has 1100 HP and gets hit by a sniper for 1300 damage(crit) then the additional 200 damage will HIT the target

    That was what I had in mind as well
    Additonal Suggestion to balance TS
    1. Tesla bolt able to disable TS and stun for
    A) 4 secs
    B) Half of what TB is suppose to stun

    2. Any 1st shot towards TS, the effeciency is at 100% reduction, 2nd shot that breaks TS deals the damage after minusing balance HP. No stun effect affecting user after that. (Same concept as how carronades breaks sheild and stun after shot due to multiple projectiles)

    Assume TS at 1600 HP, EC does 1400 damage, SC at 700 damage breaks shield and damages 500.

    Torps can be juked, mines can be measured with TS. I was an enfo main, and never feared either.

    Enforcers can dodge blast cannon shots at near range, so torpedoes are even easier

    Besides, they can get in your face

    i face many enforcer and i could blow them with splash dmg of torpedoes hitting boat junk or wall , as for mines you need to place it behind some bush or something , not seen directly

    This would be a perfect balance fix. In fact I thought TS worked like that already, as I always seem to take damage when mine breaks... then again mine breaks on every hit.

    Imho enforcers that don't have a 360° battlefield sense are just glorified speeders. If you're an enfo and you're getting pounded by area splash, you need a few sessions with Eeyore.

    Based on your previous replay sharing in other threads, I don't think you are facing the top enforcers.

    Top enforcers dodge shots at point blank range even with leading shots. They dance like shakira non stop even at point blank range.

    If a shooter takes 4 weapons to clear 2 TS, and left with one to damage them, imagine other boats.

    Clearly we are talking about a different ballgame here.

    Well, nobody likes a TS either which only RG can break. 4 weapons to break 2 TS is ridiculous as well.

    Asking to wait for TS duration to end is not gonna cut it either.

    The biggest game changer was TS HP perk. It wasn't a good move by the DEVS

    They should make the red immunity shields from the events, well, immunity shields.

    Since the introduction of new hp perks. :oops:
    Now Tesla shield can have around 2100 hp. And t5 epic flare can have a max of 2050 damage. So, u won't be able to break the shield. And it's freaking sad that my rare lvl 50 Rail gun is not breaking some shields. :(

    Also Speeder really doesn’t need another nerf, especially to defensive items. Any TS nerf should be something that only affects Double Bubble.

    Does it really matter?
    I am tesshield user, it's only rare lvl 10 and it's ability to stop all those t5 rare and maxed t3+ epic ex cannons, rail guns etc.
    I get stunned almost always when something hits my shield (except for the "low" level snipers and std cannons) because it has too low hp so it breaks every time, yet it's my only way to survive a litle bit longer when I have only 3.4k hp
    I agree that almost maxed tesshields need some sort of nerf, but if it affects low levels too much, tesshields will then end like frost items-almost non used item, especially at low/mid levels
    so please think about your suggestions more, I doubt that you want to kill another item, I guess that it would end with one bad thing for everyone-many players would leave this game
