New fixer ( and defender) buff: OverHeal

    so I thought of this idea, and you know how that one fixer is really stupid and heals you when you only took 50 damage? Well, I have a solution. Introducing OverHeal! If the fixing is a bit too much, you get a bit of extra health! Obviously, there must be some limitations.

    I think I'll set the limit at 20% of ship health. So...

    8000 hp = max overheal of 1600 HP!

    This would probably buff defenders... because:

    10K ( MK5+ HP) = 2000 bonus health!

    So a defender+ fixer fleet would be pretty awesome. Maybe also apply this effect to bandages as well?

    What do you think?


    basically TF2 over heal but on a wider range

    another idea?
    make fixers turn faster to avoid getting hit
    make defenders harder to hit by reducing their hitbox
    make speeders have 10% more rudder (you seriously dont know how useful it is)

    and again, to make fixers stronger, make the weapon damage show up as X2 (but not actually) on the finished game screen. this way, fixers get more loot

    Just make healing worth more than they are right now. Making damage more would make more fixers go selfish to get more rewards.

    Damnit more people dislike the idea ( more of the 'highly disagree than agree) than they do like it! What's wrong with it?? Ya wanted defender buff, here ya have it! And the effect also works with bandages!
    Okay so it buffs fixers too,that's good too though. More people will play fixer maybe.

    Hopefully not selfish. I know! Make the effect not work with duct tape

    I quite like the idea. I'd limit it to only apply when the friendly has received damage and only the next heal applied will give it the overheal. This will save people complaining for matches with 1 vs. 0 fixers. They could quite easily cap out everyone's overheal from the off and throughout.

    I support, especially if bandages can do it too. Fixers would be much more useful, and defenders will be less useless

    Nice thought, I assume it’s only the first heal that takes them over there limit counts. So if there are short 50 health and hit by a bolt or box they get the full heal but a pulse/bandage would do the first tick and then nothing.
    There should also be a decay with it as well to make it more of a temporary buff. Drops by a 10% of the overheal a second or something. Stops everyone sitting on the edge of a long range mortar shot at the beginning of the battle so they can be topped up over max health.

    Nah, I think all healing goes for overheal. That way defenders can become great again, and fixers gain a buff as well. A bit more balance to other ships as well ( speeder and low health, stop putting them together)

    Lol just use a rudder, they're great and you could still get a good 300ish hp with it.

    You need to keep in mind how this could be implemented... it’s really difficult

    I’d be easier to use a mechanism already in game

    My suggestion (if you haven’t seen it):
    Give defenders a Tesla shield effect: no crits, absorbs all splash

    Anyway I reached nightmare league with this unbalanced fixer mm and with full rare set. As u see i don't cry that much, maybe I let em all cry. Now go in that cool place u know well. Bye.
