Nightmare reset is awesome

I love fighting against players with T5 Epic Weapons across the board that were 1500 infamy higher than me just a few hours prior. Thanks Devs for the good times.

 

Oh yeah...it’s the hardest league, but there’s no excuses. Players who have been in NML for months or even a year always hit the reset point, so everyone who’s new to the league has to face maxed out ship setups.

 

You're kind of an old player (if i'm not wrong). How on earth do you have such a weak gear?

The pushdown makes me want to stay away from the game for the first 4 days of each season to avoid the frustration. With the 3 day event that would blow off an entire week of ranked matches.

The whole idea of a reset reeks of a duct-tape patch to a problem that should be solved in real ways. We've talked about this in other threads... at a minimum the reset should be higher, probably closer to 5000 than 4000 considering we have 6k players. It's not hard to do, and it is time.

 

Clash Royale has a system for this

4000-4300->4000
4300-4600->4300
4600-5000->4600
5000+->5000

Honestly though, it’s less of a problem in B.B. because everyone is running T5E (okay, most).
Obviously, this system wouldn’t hurt

 

Let's think this through for a moment ...

It's less than a day before some of them are back over 5k. And, you're getting the same match bonus multiplier and the same season rewards as 99% of the top leaguers...

So .... do you really want them to make higher leagues and give them higher rewards (or possibly decrease your league bonus/season rewards)?

Other than getting less rewards (or perhaps less rewards than higher leagues), you'd also get to deal with 50 threads of certain people complaining about how the "rich are getting richer" - as ridiculous and uninformed of an idea as it is.

Is that preferable to having one day (maybe two) of getting matched with the best? When you could also view those matches as learning experiences?

(Side note - I could hit higher leagues so I'd be all for more rewards.. I just find it interesting that people hovering around 4k are normally the ones asking for more leagues).

 

Even if players are reset to 5k you will still be matched against them, their teamates will just be weaker more often

 

Actually, that's the old system. They changed it some time ago. Now it's:

x=current trophy
[(x-4000)/2]+4000
(Only for 4000+ trophies)

So 4500 would be reduced to 4250 and 5000 to 4500 and so on.
I think this will be a better system for season resets.

I'm facing my third nightmare league season. I learnt to never play the first day because it would end up on a horrible losing streak. I have faced guys with maxed out gears, but, again, it's 50/50, i have killed people like godlike, banderas, yorken and some guys from his guild. you only got to be lucky enough to not be paired with ace league players and some others m*rons, with all due respect.
