Event CTF - Gameplay and Rewards Tips - Pin the Flag on the Donkey

Any player could be good use in this game play, if you r not good with flag calturing, you can defend your flag. And i find it easier to defend flag than capture flag (eventhough im an enfo user) thanks to my guildmate tips

 

It says it on the instructions and in a bunch of threads: your own flag has to be returned to base in order to capture.
So if the enemy has your flag taken somewhere else then you can’t capture the point.

 

Your team flag should be in your base when you bring the red flag. I was also confuse before buddy, hahaha. Carried the flag and sit there but no capture point

 

I gotta say its working real nice for me..getting 10 coins in most battle..its only a big issue when your teammate dunno how to defend your own flag..

 

information :
if both flags are in the same base but still no one is holding the other flag (enemy flag) then it won't be counted as capture .

Speeders are the best at returning their own flag and also have the highest base speed in the game, so they make great flag carriers as well. They also counter themselves in CTF as chasing a speeder is very easy when they can't use OB or Nitro.

Enforcers have lots of yellow slots, which gives them a lot of defensive capability. They're pretty good at everything, but imo their greatest strength in CTF is escorting.

Fixers are great for escorting, they can just follow the flag carrier around and keep them alive. They also help a lot with defending, as well as taking advantage of players' instinct to attack the fixer instead of the flag carrier.

Shooters are the best at defending and are also very helpful for escorting. They CAN capture themselves, but imo they're better off following the flag carrier and shooting everyone that tries to stop them.

Defenders are great for defending as they're hard to take down, but they're surprisingly great at capturing despite their lack of mobility. They have a lot of health so they can carry the flag quite a long way before sinking.

TL;DR
If you're quick, capture
If you deal damage or heal, defend/escort

It's not rocket science, every ship is good at something, even in CTF. Know your role and help your team. And keep an eye on your flag!

That's an interesting idea. But, such coordination between two requires lots of practice.

 

I found that I could just drop it with nitro, use my ob to loop back to it myself and nitro threw it again to save time, and repeat when cD was ready

I found CTF to be fun, the only issue I see is on the coins rewards, from the get go teams gotta split on who defends and who captures, the ones that capture usually get the most coins cause they get to hold the flag, but as important as capturing is to defend your flag, players that defend, usually end up with the most dmg, players that retrieve the flag should get same points as the ones holding it for the capture.
As a shooter, I play defense most of the time and 4-5 coins is the most I can get, it doesn’t matter if you can capture 5 times, if the other team captures 6, you lose, so defense is an important part of the dynamics of the event and should be rewarded alike.

 

can you uncensored the battle # so I can see if you picked up the flag in the replay? Cause I call BS

 

I got 9 coins by only defending, too
just shoot at flag carriers, kill them and return the flag as many times as possible+do good ammount of damage
that should yield better rewards (maybe not 10 coins, but close to 10)

 

I guess you are right, everyone else in your game just did very little contribution I guess, here is one of mine to compare.
