Maybe better to avoid the Events?

    Dear All,

    Are the whole Events nothing more than a waste of time as some say. It is just feeding time for Nightmare players and that is all what these events are about, nothing fair play.

    From the beginning the Events have been unfair and baised towards the high end players, so I think it is better just to avoid the Events if no better matchmaking is being introduced.

    Here two battles. but it is like that most of the time:

    Or am I too harsh in my judement?

    No one is forcing you to participate in the Events. Many people are enjoying the variety of game play.

    I don't think thats the right way to look at it. Ending events is also wrong. Just proper and fair matchmaking, then everyone can enjoy it.

    First of all, which ship is yours? The Speeder on the left could easily be viewed as trying to game the system. If so, that is your fault.

    And have you ever thought that maybe some players are just not as skilled as the Nightmare players. The gear is only half the battle. Most players are in nightmare because they are more skilled than the average player. So if you match us based on even gear, we are always going to have an advantage.

    If you want help, post your setup and we will help you. But posts like this are useless.

    Did you float in the 2nd game?
    Even if the match is unfair, still try your best and you earn free coins, just sitting there waiting for them to capture is a complete waste of your time.
    Truth is if your ship is a lot weaker, you can often land more damage than they can and earn more coins even if they win!
    Unfortunately sitting at your spawn (floating) and then writing a post here to close events for everyone is nonsense.
    If they arent for you, then you dont have to play them, however they can be fun, and give great rewards and the best thing is high level practice.
    You are being matched with "superior players", watch and learn from them, see how they use the maps, what weapon combos they are packing, use it to your advantage.

    The OP has recognized that the Devs didn't even bother to fix the matchmaking from the last 3+ events. It's Nightmare Seal-Clubbing Event v2.

    The second game was not from me, from a friend, so please dont judge me.

    What is there to learn if they kill you in 1 or 2 shots? There is nothing to learn from that.

    I dont care at all about the coins, I care about a good game. So, even if I can earn coins, I still am nkt going to l,ay a game where I lose 90% of the time.

    Well last event 1 vs 1, I had a MK5 Shooter, with a terrible big shield (rare level 30) and all my brock training is in firebomb, so my HP was about 4200.
    Except 4 matches, every match was against a MK6, with 6000-7000 HP or more.

    Thing was although they would win, I would often outdamage them.

    So I would land say 11k damage and they would land 8k on me, killing me twice.

    Most games would end with us both receiving 6 coins.

    Maybe I am a glutton for punishment but I enjoyed losing every game for 3 days straight :D

    But in your first example the team that lost has in effect better gear no or at least very close!
