I like your thinking, but this game will never be a proper esport. People can pretend if they want, but it will never happen, unless... Massive changes.

 

You do realize that esports are not P2W right

 

Battle bay will never be an e-sport game because it's pay to win. Unlike battle bay, games like lol and dota have balanced match with no gear difference.
The winner of the match is determined only by skill, not some legendary gear.

 

IMO it has some potential as an esport,just not as mainstream as for well-known titles like dota cs etc...
Right now it’s heavily a work in progress

This comes down to two points:-
- Slow and poor balancing , this involves matchmaking items ships (rip defender) economy etc. Right now for item balancing it’s not done frequently pls do it something like clash royale where it’s done like weekly
- Lack of player base , seriously the size isn’t big enough to naturally steer up the player base, do more advertising for now
- Ship and item content current content is getting quite stale and nothing new so far

Been playing awhile now and rovio needs to step up shall they want it to be esport

If the teams all have the access to the same level of ships and weapons, then this is all ready to go. You would never see different levels of weapons and ships in a real competition. It would be a level playing field.

 

I thought that is what needed. All talents unlocked so people can choose whatever items they want. I am hoping they can do something like this in TDM where you can only play with 2 MKs based on your league.

 

I don't really see that happening for TDM but it would be like that for Esports.

 

It can't ATM because the game needs a UI update for it to be possible. I just think that TDM or another new event where it's similar to eSport so people can practice. Without such event, how do people get good at this game since there are so many items to master.

 

I'd like to see that as a sub-section to Custom. I also want to see where you can load a ship with all colors. Would have to be a new ship. Maybe called The Stinger or something. This would make Custom way more fun.

 

I like it in it own event because it means something to win there. There are events in Asphalt 8 where everyone use identical car in the same map. BB only need the same levels of ships and items.

 

I'd love to see this happen... so easy to do.

 

Obviously i wouldn't be able to use my regular equipment. I used T5 Epics in the last event for my TheGunslinger account and lost only 2 games. But it would be nice to earn money for competitions to help pay back for some my expenditures for my reg equipment. That was my point.
