This event is a middle finger to shooter and defender

It's really apparent that devs didn't think this event through. As a shooter and defender main, I can't do much in this event other than getting my rear pummeled by yellow boats. The fact that the devs allow the match between shooter and defender against yellow boats is beyond dumb. There's simply no bloody way for shooters and defenders to win 1vs1 against boats with yellow items.

Speeders can easily kite around the map playing hide and seek and I can't do anything about it. And capture is not an option because they can just get out for a second and shoot me to break the capture.
Why the frick the devs didn't implement the unbreakable capture from the previous event? We can't chase yellow boats around, at least this would give a reason for them to actually come out and fight, not playing hide and seek.
And let's not start on double bubble enfos, they're just pure cancer that deserve a nerf or simply being removed from this plane of existence.

But the thing that pissed me off the most is, not only playing shooter and defender is not an option, the game wouldn't let me play the yellow boats either because my yellow boats and and yellow items are under leveled. Every time I equipped my weapons to my under leveled yellow boats, the game would accuse me of manipulating gear score and matched me against someone much stronger, but what option do I have?

And that's it for me on this event. I can't play shooter and defender, and the game wouldn't let me play yellow boats either.
I'm so done.

Idk about you man, but my defender is doing great. I'm just giving friendly hugs to everyone in this event.

 

I think the same. People who carry mortars mines napalms and all those weird stuff should equip point damage weapons. Maps are small you can chase down anyone easily. Its 1v1 CC weapons are pointless.

 

My defender is doing great too, but only when matched against shooter or other defender. When it's matched against yellow boats, it's falling apart. All they need to do is get behind my slow rotating turret, then there's no way out.

I'm aware of this too, Einstein. I carry all point damage weapon in this event. One explosive cannon, and two blast cannon. On shooter I like to mix it with a bit of missiles and railgun.

 

Seeing another post with someone's comment saying his double bubble enfo get 50+ win streak in this event is enough proof that some ships are at a massive advantage against some others.
One of my guild mate also said that he's reaching 20 win streak with his enfo this morning.

Meanwhile my other guild mates who don't play yellow boats including me are struggling to even get 4 wins in 10 battles because we're constantly matched against yellow boats.

 

This is the worst TDM till now.. matchmaking are done at 5000 infamy vs 8500 infamy... seriously rovio that's totally inappropriate.

 

My Mk6 defender was matched with Mk7 speeder with 2000 higher infamy just 30 minutes ago.
Needles to say I was there just being his target practice. He only need to get behind my turret, and it's done, my turret can't even follow him nitroing around.

 

I play as a shooter I can almost wreck any ships but enfocers are really pain in ass. This morning one enfocer was hiding behind the rock and he placed a lot of mines around the rock and then was mortar spamming with his legendary and epic mortar from distance. The problem is how I am getting all those op opponents with all t4 epic weapons and legendary weapons while I only have 1 epic weapon and all other rare t4 weapons. With 4 to 5 shot my 95% hit points are already gone. Likewise I mostly get opponents having 1000 infamy higher then mine which is freaking outrageous and laughable.

 

I got matched with a difference of 3000 infamy with all t5 epics. I mean like seriously where is gearscore matchmaking.

 

This event is slightly favoured to yellow boats.

 

Not slight totally favored to double bubbles, as a fixer can't play any good games. if i try to get mk4 ship I am being matched at mk6 ship with 3000 gearscore difference. This event sucks.

 

lol Gear score thing is a failure to even begin with. Suppose if a enfocer has all t4 red and yellow epic items and if they only have two blue items of level 30. Their gear score in overall will be quite low. I may have all t4 rare items but their gear score will match with mine and I will be thrashed again.

 

Fixer are not in that much of bad position. Fixer can carry 3 duct tapes and carry red items carefully. They can win matches anyways. They are painful to kill with 3 duct tapes.

Time and time again devs have proven that they haven't got a damn clue how to give a balanced matchmaking.
At this point why don't just make all boats equalized JUST FOR EVENTS. Set all boats to mk6 and all items to epic T5 and maxed training. With all boats equalized, they don't have to consider all that gear score, training, level, infamy, and all that stuff for matchmaking because everyone is on the same level.

For the ranked mode, they can leave it the way it is with infamy based matchmaking.

 

The problem is, nobody use duct tapes in regular matches, people usually just scrap it. So you can't expect someone to obtain and build all those duct tapes in such short period of time just for one event.

 

I am not equipped as a selfish fixer so I can't play that. even if I play as a defender at 6500 gear score I am matched at 9100 gearscore. Why on earth devs says it's based on gear score. Why?????

 

Understatement of the century

The irony of this event is that they promote 2 new fixer perks for an event that a fixer can't participate in unless you've built a selfish kit which there will be few and far between.
