Event 6 Reward Requirements and Tips - My Team Sucks!

Reward Requirements:
You now purchase one of three boxes for 35 coins that contains either parts, pieces, or perks. Once you have spent 900 coins, you get the Legendary Perk for free.
Here are the possible purchases:


DO NOT SPEND YOUR COINS UNTIL YOU HAVE 910! COINS WILL ROLL OVER TO THE NEXT EVENT, BUT LEGENDARY METER WILL RESET.​

I will personally be purchasing only parts during this event, as I am in desperate need of them.

At 5 coins per game, that is 180 games required to earn a Legendary perk.
That is roughly 6 hours of gameplay (estimated average of 2-minute games). This is less than the estimate from last week.

Skilled players (also those who can capture consistently) should be able to get a Legendary perk in around 4 hours of gameplay.

Get out there and grind!

Overall Tips

• You win by getting 2 kills or capturing the zone.
• Small maps will only be in the rotation.
• You do NOT earn stars for guild quest during this event!
• Capture gives more coins.
• Matchmaking is based on "power". This is some sort of combination of Gear Score and Training. Infamy will not be used at all in this event.
• Do NOT try to fool the matchmaker. It accounts for your under-leveled items and you'll be matched at a much higher gear score.

Gameplay Tips

• Every ship can do well in this event if played smart.
• Speeders and Enforcers will likely do the best in this event due to 1v1 advantages.
• Fixers that aren't selfish are not recommended for this event.
• Try to run your most reliable, meta setups. You'll be matched against evenly geared opponents, so if their weapon is more reliable, they will probably win.

Capture Tips

• Capture occurs faster in this event.
• Capture will reset on damage (like normal).
• If you are capturing, STAY IN THE ZONE! If you go in and out, you reset your contribution.
• If the enemy is close to capturing, you can enter the capture zone to pause any progression.

I doubt it. This has been discussed a lot in a chat with devs and they said nothing about capping your coins.

True. Duelling is an art that has been hidden for far too long, and something people have to learn. Avoiding confrontation has been the means of survival for so many people that this event has begun to feel like a bucket of cold water to the face.

I've only had fun. Duelling against a non-duellist is like watching a hilarious disaster unfold. The satisfaction is heightened by the fact that since it is a 1v1 with balanced gear, it is impossible to run and hide, and the fact that these people have no idea how to fake cooldowns and predict builds, the very basics of duelling.

I've had a 15-0 winstreak, and only one game was a close shave(props to the shooter in question, GG)
