Speeder with dual turbo build help

I'm considering dropping the gold to upgrade speeder to mk4. I've been running a mk4 shooter but i like to mix it up. Looking for some discussion on good speeder builds. I have several rare turbos that i could upgrade and combine so I'm considering running dual turbos so the speed is built in to the blue spots leaving my yellow spots open. I still might put an overboost or nitro in for burst speed. Trying to decide what weapons go good on a speeder. I used to run cannon and sniper on my mk3 but I feel it lacked the damage I needed to be able to contribute much. I have most weapons available at rare level. I'm considering a big torp for the heavy damage and then maybe my cannon so I can fire more often. Torn between stun and freeze blaster for the yellow spot. Anyway that's some of my thinking and I'm looking for some advice and strategy for a good speeder build. Thanks in advance

You might want to check this out and then take some tips for weapons and other items to your speeder and what you should save for later game:

 

I'd definitely go with 1 turbo and 1 bandage, you tend to commit suicide less if you use that bandage (when i know i can heal up, i rather go around blocks, shooting from distance and wait till my hp recovers a bit)

Next I'd either use overboost and tesla shield or overboost and nitro. Atm i am running with overboost and nitro, but overboost is a must.
The reason why I wouldn't put a tesla bolt at that level is cause at that infamy points people are not used to those bolts and therefore they tend to just break the stun, which makes tesla shield or nitro a better choice for me.

Now there is one more option for the yellow slot which is overboost + frost blaster, but I'd only use that if you use torpedos.

In case you prefer guns I'd advice one of the first 2 options.

When it comes to guns, the best combo is flare gun + blast cannon.
Other option is blast + explosive cannon, which I also love.

Thanks for the vid and tips. I usually use overboost and nitro at mk3. But I've found that i end up always just running and not able to deliver as much damage with that combo. I'd like to run the stun but as you just mentioned I didn't even know that firing at a stunned target breaks the stun until I saw the porthos video above. Stuns are so rare at my level (1600 infamy) that I bet most people don't know that. as for the bandage I could do that. I use a bandage on my shooter but the speeder has so little shielding and health that a bandage at my level feels like a bit of a waste. If i take a hit or two I'm toast before I get a chance to heal unless I just go hide in a corner. So I figured the extra speed would help me avoid getting hit in the first place. I need to improve my bandage though so maybe I'll try it again.
The more I'm looking into speeder though the more it really seems it's more of a late game boat. You really need that 3rd yellow before it starts to get reliable it seems. But man I love the rush from speeding all over the place. Ill just have to take the plunge and start experimenting with some combos.

 

That's more or less my loadout too on a MK4

Keep in mind, that a MK5 has indeed three yellow slots, but they are only T3. So you can not run Overbust (1) + Nitro/Frost Blaster (1) + Tesla Shield (2) furthermore the vessel is ugly, looks like a coffin languishes in the Bay

Nah I prefer high hitting weapons for speeders, especially at that level. Hit your opponent with both of your weapons and get out of danger zone fast with turbo - while you are getting out your bandage also does its work. I'd only go for cannon with speeder if its either epic t3+ or legendary. Cannon works better for ships with 3+ weapon slots

 

You get 3 slots and 4 space in mk 6 so you can use that combination then. This is what I use in my mk 5 speeder: Blast cannon and carronades (sometimes missiles/flare gun), Tesla bolt, nitro (sometimes frost bolt) and overboost, Big shield and turbo.
Tesla bolt is good for blocking single unfriend shooting you and you can escape if needed then, frost bolt is to support your team's shooters and I use big shield to get more health isntead of autohealing from bandage as I don't have that good bandage which would be better than the extra hp from shield. Besides when you have fixer in your team, you don't need bandage that much and extra "storage" hp is then good to have.
