Event matchmaking is creating teams with similar gear scores, but there is also usually a wide range of Infamy. I assume this is an opportunity for most of us to learn from higher-ranked players... so...

My question: What are people learning from being matched with higher-ranked players?

If you have learned something particularly useful, please reply and share with the rest of the community so we may all gain from that wisdom!

I learned that even BB has people in community who will find way of abusing the system
there was no chance for me to learn from high level players as they usualy equiped legendary/strong epic weapon and something like t5 big shield and left other slots empty or added few lvl 10 commoms
but also that more infamy doesn't mean more skill as I was able to wreck these high level-high infamy players (but not always)

I am a high level player. I find it easier to win using just my normal gear, and harder to win with lower ship mark. The thing is is that this matchmaking isn’t all gearscore (and it’s not actually gearscore, but as the devs said, “power level”), it also takes into account talents (basically captain level). So when I play games with my mk3, I get matched with mk4-5s and my “legendaries” aka high level epics since most legendaries are trash for f2p do not compensate well for my underdeveloped boat. And usually my “gearscore” matches me with people whose gear is ample and more abundant to and is able to counter my legendaries. One time I tried to use all common lv1 items to see what I was matched with. Due to my talents/captain level I was matched with people who’s guns were around tier 1-2 epics and tier 2-3 rares. That gives an idea of how much captain level plays in matchmaking.

I say, for low levels, don’t think high levels are screwing you over, rather just kill them. Also if you think about it, low level people can just equip low level rare and get into lower than possible matchmaking for higher level people since high level’s talents won’t allow them to go that far low without as I said lv1 commons

yeah it's possible to roll over them when your team is inteligent enough to cooperate but it's annoying when they just one-shot you with their sniper's crit

he has 2.3k gear score and he got matched with people like me (something over 3k) but his grenade was still able to two-shot us as it dealt around 1.2k damage per shot
there were only mk3 ships so this is player with mk3 ship with really strong items for thst level who actualy did get matched with normal mk3 ships

I learned that don't ever play fixer in TDM if u dont wanna get annoyed and get frustrated. So instead use a defender lock the target and keep on shooting and shooting. You'll get stars even if u lose. Happy sailing.

    1) Quit being a fixer, apparently It's every man for themself in the events as well as normal mode.
    2) I'll never get above a rare perk due to "real life" getting in the way.

:D:p I get that. (I mean there's steroids). But I didn't know if it was someone else's. I'm a swimmer who tends to participate in young adult aesthetics competitions on the side. So I appreciate fitness more than your average joe. Anyhoo, props for taking fitness into your life.
