    Hi All,

This was my start of the day https://replay.battlebay.net/ZVJKMJYM#JFTKLVCF

    - 2 suiciders
    - 1 floater
    - 1 little active
    Combined damage 616

Any thoughts how to turn these battles around? I was also not on top of my game, but I believe this was impossible. Or was I wrong? How could I have inspired my team mates to play differently?

    Regards,
    Flint

Sometimes you simply can't turn the battle if your teammates fail big time. However, I would say these situations occur rarely.

Maybe it would be a fresh change if in this thread we discussed about our own mistakes on the battlefield (and what we can learn from them) so this doesn't turn into another matchmaking / toxic teammate mocking thread.

I admit I also sometimes play stupidly with my shooter. I might get lured too far from my team hoping to land better shots but then suddenly I notice a rain of mortars and snipers pouring right on my head. Often at that point it's game over: my ship is too slow to run away so I just get killed in 10 seconds and my teammates must think I'm a big idiot.

Luckily I have slowly learned to avoid this so maybe this happens little less often that it used to when I first switched to shooter.

You are right, I changed the title. That was my intention a thread to help us get better, but the title was wrong. Now it looks too much what the others done wrong. But I did not play well either. But sometimes even if your do your utmost best, if the others don't, then you are going to lose. But how else can we inspire your team mates? I always start the battle with 'Together', 'Attack' and kill this or that one first.

But so few people respond to the commands at all or pay attention to it, that there is not much else you can do.

Shouldn't this be in the "strategy" section?

Well i'll say it's not always about choosing a target from the start. Some target are choosed when battles starts!
If Fixer is in your team then better stick to it cause Fixer= Target!
And if you get to choose between Shooter or Defender then always go with Defender(not until he's a noob) and better always keep One-Hand distance from your teammates!
and Sometimes it's the ship! Maybe you can't play good with your Shooter but you may do some serous dmg with your Speeder or Defender or any other ship!
Like me i'm not a shooter player! But i know an awesome Shooter player!
    Here watch this out!

    Does it really matter?
I tended to target fixers without looking at other enemies so at start I said "destroy (name of fixer)" but then I usualy ended in 1v1 with enemy speeder or enforcer who tried to flank us or assasinate our fixer
it was hard lesson but I learned that it's essential for win to watch map and withdraw back to fixer so I get heal and I can also protect him when someone is approaching him, I also learned that it's better to save shot so I can land the perfectly aimed torpedo on enemy instead of blindly spamming
it's crucial to know when to attack and when you must retreat to your team as speeder because you can't survive concentrated fire of 5 ships, you also need to know parts of map where you can engage without risk of being trapped by enemies, if you can, hug the inner wall of tunnel as it's harder for enemy to hit you from outside of the tunnel but be aware of incoming mortar shells as their splssh damage can go through walls

Other thing is that to be carefull when you want to go to target player separated from their team. When you do this, you need to make sure that there are not unfriend near your target that could give aid/support especially speeder.

This is a mistkae i usually make, when i see there is a separated player i will rush to that player without checking other unfriend position closely then i ended up in 1 vs 2 situatio.

So make sure the other 4 unfriend are far away, and you can deal enough damage before speeder come to support your target.

I tend to lose focus on my surrounding terrain, which leads me to accidentally running head on into a wall on my shooter, and while I make that turn to move away from enemy fire, I've probably got enough big torps right at my tail to kill me in seconds.
So what I've been practicing is moving the camera more frequently, and raising the camera sensitivity a bit. It helps, but spacing out at random times is an issue of mine in real life, so that's another hurdle I have to jump.

I'm hyper aggressive and lack patience. This leads to me winning battles in style, and losing them like an absolute idiot. I've learned to tame the aggression, playing enfo and stuff, but there's still something about spammers and fixers that makes me want to rush in and insta-kill them;)

You did good on the first replay, it was just your bad luck that your team mate couldnt damage other unfriend big enough for u to finish off the last unfriend.

On the second replay however, you made a critical mistake by leaving yout fixer. On the beginnning of the game you was fighting against shooter and your fixer was backing you up. You was about to win the duel (in my opinion) because u have fixer backing you. However u suddenly leave your fixer to shoot other unfriend on the other end of the map leaving ur fixer defenseless against shooter.

Never leave your ur fixer when there are no other player who could protect ur fixer. Fixer is an important team member to support the rest of the team.

Thanks very much! You are right, I see now what I did wrong. I thought I take the other one down quickly, but apperantly it cost us the battle.

Maybe I shoot watch other people replays more often, because I want to get to know the Speeder and Enforcer better. It is quite a learning curve for me since I have used the Shooter for 8 months now.

I play very few battles, but when I do I get battles like this: https://replay.battlebay.net/ZFBVLYKY#HTQQXXBG

I could have done nothing better, I think. And I wonder when the last one died, why not float and let myself get killed. It is no use even trying to do my best with teams like this. And there are many like this, sadly.

This game is all about working together, but 90% does not, does not respond to commands, does not watch others and does not care at all. I wish it was just 10 boats in a battle and all for themselves. So, no team, just everyone for him or herself.

Maybe an idea for a new event? Because the single most thing which brings this game down is the lack of people working together, not even bothering what you do or not. It is not the machtmaking, it is most people who are selfish and then cursing the matchmaking, yeah right.

Another thing which could rescue this game is guild tournaments, 5 people of choice form a guild against another guild. Deathmatch is just too much of the same thing, most people who do not work together. And I am tired of it. If you like to play on your own, please play patience instead or Pacman or Pacwoman.

I agree. Either the events have to be more solitary, or something that really encourages teamwork. I can’t think of any though. :p Maybe something like a one on one deathmatch that has same mk ships and level/rarities? Or something where to do damage everyone has to hit the target, then the total damage THEN counts? It’s all very hard to change about people. It’s kinda the way they are.
