Rovio messed up big time with game

Angry Birds is one of the most popular mobile games OF ALL TIME! 10 years ago people were playing angry birds and it even came out with its own tv show; my niece is watching it on netflix right now! My point: Angry Birds should be in the title of this game so that all of the 100million people who downloaded the original (just on google playstore btw) can be introduced or exposed to this game if they type angry birds in the search box. I searched angry birds on playstore and looked for battle bay. It was the 24th game on the list, behind Sega's sonic the hedgehog game and behind Stupid Zombies.

Rovio- you've established a ginormous plauer base with the orginial angry birds. Change the name of this game to get more people exposed to this awesome piece of work and make more MONEY. Also put in a tab on EVERY single one of your rovio entertainment games that says try out our best game yet Battle Bay (Soon to be changed to Angry Birds! Bay Wars)

I feel that Battle bay is different enough to deserve its own title, honestly. However, Rovio could certainly try a crossover skin in which people shoot birds into the air, not missiles. Run a few million ads with it perhaps. But overall, I think its easier to keep Angry Birds as an accessory. There were so many Angry Bird themed/variantgames before, that I can't help but feel the name is overused now.

So sure, but as a limited thing. Angry Birds is a fundamentally different game that is oriented more towards puzzle solvers than MOBA enthusiasts. The original user base might come over eventually, but it will take a while, and BattleBay should attract them and keep them on its own merits, if it is to avoid a high turnover of customers.

 

with battlebay's design, it can easily be crossed over with angry birds lore, i think rovio will look into that in the future but it will all depend on the success of this game. separating it from angry birds was a safe move considering its a totally different game. this title has potential, let's just hope rovio drives it in the right direction coz i love this game. my favorite mobile game so far... hands down.

they could make more money making a newer game like the one you described. "battle birds" a cross between battle bay and angry birds

 

They have a new game that just came out yesterday called, "angry birds evolution". It's a mix between AB and BB.

 

Battle Bay name is great and no need of any birds here!After a few months this game will reach to more and more people and could also become one of top game.

you said thats it deserve ts own title, why would you want ship to shoot birds instead of projectiles. i think angry birds was a fad back then but its not a fad right now. Rovio is a good enough developer, people will play, they just need more advertisment.

There's already enough seperate angry bird apps with seperate payment systems and seperate titles like that one where you build contraptions with pigs and all the angry bird spinoffs. We don't need anymore bird shit. Let them do their thing with this game of mice on boats.

 

Not here to argue, but in the sense of evolving birds (just like BB evolves weapons) battling the pigs (just like BB battles other ships), clans vs guilds. YES it's a mix between the two

I agree that Battle Bay doesn't need Angry Birds to support it. I mean, look at where it is right now! The thing is, people will still recognize Angry Birds, so a temporary link would potentially help Battle Bay grow, if implemented smartly. This alternate skin would be something quite new for Battle Bay, though not a new thing for the MOBA genre as a whole. Implemented well, it is at worst a fun skin to commemorate some event, such as Rovio's launch of Angry Birds, that can potentially spur activity or cash payments. At best, it can also be used as a hook to draw more people into the game.

 

Just pointing out that turned-based card games are not like team shooters. I've never seen them called similar. It looks like a turned based game from what I can tell.
