THE thread for new event perk ideas

    I will start with:

    Perk 1: a percent is taken from damage done and put back into the health of the damage dealer
    Leg: 10%
    Epic: 7.5%
    Rare: 5%
    Green: 2.5%

    Perk 2: health perk (any item)
    Leg: 150 hp
    Epic: 100 hp
    Rare: 75
    Green: 50

    Perk 3: speed (any item)
    Leg: 12.5%
    Epic: 10%
    Rare7.5%
    Green: 5%

    Perk 4: for overboost
    Leg: duration +0.8 agility +20%
    Epic: duration +0.8 agility +15%
    Rare: duration +0.5 agility +10%

    Edit: Fair is fair, your thread beat mine by a minute, so my post goes here!

    So we've already seen the four Unique perks from this event:

    "Speedy" Cannon Damage + Projectile Speed
    "Quickshot" Fire Damage + Cooldown Reduction
    "Reach" Mortar Damage + Range Extension
    "Wildfire" Torpedo Damage + Fire Chance
    (+40% additional damage over 4 seconds)

    While I'm sure there's more perks to be unlocked in future events, let's brainstorm some additional ones for the future, shall we? ;)

    While the obvious answer is "combine the Effect and Cooldown perks into one" - for example, the "Quickshot" Fire Damage can easily become the "Quickcharge" Railgun Damage - how about some more off-the-wall ideas too?

    "Extinguisher" Repair Effect
    Reduces the Burn time of a ship by 2, 4, 6, or 8 seconds (depending on perk rarity)

    "Interceptor" Shield Defense
    Reduces AoE damage by causing weapons to "explode early"

    "Swarm" Missile Effect
    Significantly increases the projectile count of your missiles (up to double) but decreases the damage per projectile (but still providing a net gain in damage)

    "Piercing" Railgun Effect
    Damage is reduced, but you can now hit multiple enemies in a line.

    Your post is much more detailed than mine. It should have been the first post. I like that rail gun one, It should allow the projectile to go through one wave too

    You beat me on the post time, so merging the two posts would result in this thread. Glad you like my ideas.

    Railing through waves might be too OP; but to further expand on that idea, instead of a flat reduction in damage, perhaps the first target receives regular damage, and every subsequent target gets 50% - going through waves counts as "hitting a target" so you'd only do 50% damage.

    Plus it leads to a new battle badge and Achievement with a title like Skewered - Hit (badge) or Kill (Achievement) 2 boats with one Railgun shot.

    I like it, perk rarity should advance the % of damage a second target would take with legendary being at 50%

    Your carronade hits will apply stun(1 second) to the target.

    Why not just need like a healing event perk that does 10% extra healing for all ships. Which means fixer repair pulse can increase from 50% for fixer to 60% for fixer.

    How about perks that counter or help ships/weapons?
    For example, a blue slot perk that increases heals received by fixer by 10%
    Or a perk that reduces damage from mortars :D

    A bandage perk that also increases frequency of bandage health ticks!

    Repair bolt/health box/pulse perk that also extinguishes fires... edit: Nevermind should have read the thread above.

    I'd love a perk for turbo (or for Overboost as you said) giving additional agility :)

    The one for Carronade would increase damage as normal + turret and ship freeze by 5% - 10% and 15%

    The one for Grenade would give Fire crit chance as normal + 3 - 6 - 9% fire damage (or more :eek:)


    PS: I'm seriously waiting for Devs to nerf the Fire damage on Torps. It's insane.

    Why? Explain please.
    Not really. Carro has already a slow and frost, especially 1 seconds is won't change anything. It must be a disturbing feature. 1 secs stun isn't a game changer of course but it will delay target's attack a little. Carro is already hard to use and weak against shooters who running multiple snipers and railguns.

    So now a 5 second reload item can have both frost and stun? Really come on thats op.

    Carronade shouldn’t have a stun, that’s just too weird, but a slight increase in slow would allow increased skill play with it and make it more worthwhile to equip for close range battles

    Only 1 second stun not a tesla bolt don't worry. You can throw your explosive cannon to my face before i hit you second shot. There are 2.5 secs overall cooldown. It is not OP. Also slow of carro is very weak.
    There are weirder things in this game (like snipers deal 2k damage in point blank) and a carro that apply stun for just 1 second will not be one of them.
