Please help this poor little enfo pick a weapon

Hey everyone! So this is my current build:
Since I just got my 6th rare swift torp yesterday, I'm thinking if I should swap out the standard cannon for swift torp. Alternatively, I could build up on my 3 epic blasts to go grenade + double blast. Here's some of the advantages/disadvantages I thought of for these weapons:


Cannon: consistent damage (note: I have 1 rare cannon dupe not shown in the picture)
Pros
• Can still ping people from afar; useful in open maps when I can't get closer
• Short cooldown; able to almost continuously fire at people when switching between weapons
Cons
• Low damage per shot; not good at scaring people away in 1v1 or when enemies are nearby

Swift torp: burst/area damage!
Pros
• Relatively easy to aim (or so I think)
• High damage; damage to groups if lucky
Cons
• Tough to hit yellow ships
• Cannot damage people who get too close

Double blast: raw DPS
Pros
• Very strong in duelling
• Possiblity of fire damage bonus since grenade crit chance is 72%
Cons
• Helpless from a distance

I would say use grenade, blast, swift torp until you get second blast and then swap the grenade out

 

Idk... Normally I will go in front to peekaboo the enemy and get my team to hurry up and attack first (doesn't always work ) Then it kind of depends on the situation. At first I'll continue peeking out and hiding, and eventually go help out when an enemy is sneaking up/a teammate is being attacked/an enemy separates.

I know everyone is telling me to go flare blast, but I prefer going by an unorthodox route even though I may progress slower or achieve less. Scrapped all my 3 or 4 epic flares! (No I still do not regret it) So no flare blast for me!

 

Everyone is suggesting flare blast because it’s meta, so it’s good, because it’s meta...
But I don’t run a single flare, and I use carro.
Anything works if you know how to use it

 

I'm not gonna vote, as I don't understand metas, and like odd setups. If I where you I would totally run Grenade+Standcan+Sniper.
See what I mean.
Also, sweet inventory you got there, building one like that takes self control lol.

 

Well I run double blast and swift torp. Pretty much every shooter carries at least 1 fire weapon I can piggyback off for extra damage, and the swift torp really annoys folks running Tesla Shield *ah I'll be safe under here* BANG - Nope!

 

First of all... change all those range perks on your cannons, they hurt my eyes you could swap the epic one into your grenade, it works perfect.

Then we can talk about this:
1. Standard + Grenade + Blast is (at least it was for me) a solid setup for Enfos between 2k and 3.3k, don't let them tell you the opposite
2. Your Standard Cannon is way too weak you'd need at least a Rare T4 with 3 epic damage perks to make it work as an unstoppable peashooter in mid-long range.
3. It's great that you have 3 epic BCs, you should really use them. One BC with most damage perks (2 to 1), and the other with most Fire perks (2or3 to 1).
4. Start leveling up your swift torp, but imo it will only be useful once you get it to T4 or T5, and that's a lot of crew training that I guess you don't have.

To recap:
Gear up your Epic blast to T3 and start running Grenade + Blast (fire) + Blast (damage). Meanwhile get your bhurt training to T4 and then start training the guy of the torps. Don't scrap any cannon. Hopefully you'll get another dup for the standard cannon and you'll be able to choose between Double blast and Std+Blast. When you have Sinklair at T4 you'll have the option Grenade+Blast+Swift torp too

PS: remember lvl 30 Epic BC is stronger than lvl 40 Rare BC

 

I forgot to mention. Build a TS asap. It's a must.

Except keep a range perk on at least one cannon. Its always nice to be able to hit someone from slightly outside their heavy weapon range.

 

Wow so that's like... do everything? Never thought of it that way; but why not? Btw I actually have Sinklair trained up quite a bit, but for big torpedo (I used to do frost stun torp). Lots of retraining to do I guess!

 

WHAT IS THAT INSANE ARSENAL!?! I would go with a second blast if you need more damage output or swift torp if you want more splash and good accuray.
