POWER TO YOUR SLOTS!

    Best Idea I’ve had. And I’ve had a lot of ideas.

    so you got slots rights?
    And eeeeeeee-veryones got their favorite weapon right?
    Well how about this.
    You’re a shooter and you have 5 red slots.
    The first slot will give your weapon, your fav weapon, 5% more damage.
    And then the next slot 4%, then 3%, then 2%, And then 1%.
    Same for yellow items.
    3 slots for both yellow ships
    3% on first and then so on.
    Now everyone has different blue slots, defender, which has 5 blues slots I think? I don’t know, correct me.
    Will be like this, 5% for the first blue item, and then so on.
    Fixer yellow slot, 1%. Sorry.
    Maybe we could increase the percentage by how many slot points the item takes, or just find a number we can buff each slot by to make this more interesting.

    Also, you can change where the buff goes depending on what order you shoot in and what slot your favorite weapon is in.

    Speeder
    Red , 2+1 + yellow , 5+4+3 + blue , 3+2+1 = 21

    Enforcer
    Red , 3+2+1 + yellow , 5+4+3 + blue , 2+1 = 21

    Fixer
    Red ,2+1 + yellow , 1 + green , 6+5+4 + blue , 2+1 = 21

    That would make the game a lot more complicated... and what if I like putting my favourite weapon at the 2nd slot?

    No thanks, I use the slots in reverse order (most important is closest to aim-joystick).

    Yellow slots are equivalent to every red slot, because they allow you to waste their shots.

    well maybe we can adjust that. Like make it so you want to put the 5% on your 5th slot and wherever everything else is. And hey, just because someone's idea doesn't fit your priorities the first time, don't say bad idea and ditch it, amend it. This is, in my opinion, a great.

    speeders and enforcers have yellow slots to make you shooting ships loose your shots.
    for fixer how about we make it 6+5+4 to make the total = 21

    and if don't agree with me on the yellow item bit then make the enforcer and speeder yellow slots be 5+4+3, that would make everything balanced

    An idea:
    For example, shooter could get 15% damage boost total, and we can choose which slots to assign the 15% to or just assign it all to one weapon.

    there is another problem , upgrading a ship , then Everytime a ship is upgraded it will gain more power than upgrading it without that extra %power per slots , and that will make a big problem bigger , and that problem is when new players gain some infamy they soon start facing higher mk , so it will be harder for them , so new players ....., And also when ace 1 players face nightmare players after a season ends it will be worse now ,

    Btw your method will make other players to upgrade their ship instead of using low mk to play with easier matchmaking , but it is not worth it , because damage > fix

    Regardless, this will still make the game much more complex, and possibly tougher to understand as a newbie. Currently the game is already complicated enough, and I don't think it needs more significant changes to add fuel to the fire. Just look at the current upgrading (evolving) system. To evolve any one item you would require an exact same duplicate of that item, with the same rarity and item level 1, the crew talent from the crew member that supports that weapon, enough power cells of that rarity and enough gold. An older player might just think this is common knowledge but to a new player this might seem very confusing. Furthermore it's not just newbies, this will also complicate many other things from comparing weapons with others to how player profiles should look like, to real battles. Lastly this may potentially worsen the already bad "high mk level ship bulling low mk level ship" issue and cause even more people to complain. So, in a nutshell, having this slot boosting idea will just, as I have said so many times (because I can't think of any other word to say it :p), make nearly every part of the game more complicated/confusing.

    No thanks, that would mean even stronger tesla shields and double bubbles (especially t5e or t2l ones) are already annoying so please no. Maybe with red and green items only.

    Then just adjust it as you upgrade.
    That’s why we have the forums so that people can find guides to understand stuff.
