So, over time I've noticed a few people complain about the quests always giving suga, and wanting gold instead.. And seen others want the Suga more than gold.
And my idea to keep everyone happy is this...
When you reach lvl 30-40 you get the ability to choose each week what quest types you do.
You can choose either gold quests or suga quests, but at a slight reduction in the amount of gold/suga you're rewarded.
Or you can select the standard mixed quests at standard reward amounts.

    I think that'd make everyone happy :)

Why not just have every quest offer both gold and sugar rewards - from which you choose the desired reward at the point of quest completion?

Huge quality of life improvement for players, easy for devs to implement.

Whether it's good for business or not is debatable, but my sense is that progression in this game is generally really slow and as a player I feel I have very little control over it. Or maybe a better way of saying it is, it's a significant expense of effort, discipline, and luck, just to feel like I have a little control over my progression... I think freeing up unnecessary and frustrating restraints on players will, yes, allow slightly faster player progression, but it will be less frustrating, and the overall net effect would probably be better player retention, which means more paying players.

If we're getting rid of dumb, frustrating restraints on players that they have nearly zero control over, power cells should be completely eliminated too (although I understand that wasn't the point of this thread).

Yeah I agree 100% actually. That'd be optimal. I hope the devs do that.
But I usually try to be reasonable with my ideas, meet in the middle so to speak.
As the devs very rarely implement any ideas mentioned here, I try to make it as slight and reasonable as possible. Not too far from the original.
In the hope they'll actually do something about it :D
