Think about this analogy, so before the global release, the first version was 1.0 right? So that was like Windows XP. A great idea, did the job it was meant to do but felt like it was missing something.
So then right before the global release, 2.0 comes out. And it improves on 1.0 in every way. So that's Windows Vista. For a while, Vista was the bees knees and the cats pajamas but shiny glass orbs fade
and then it seemed like everyone started to get bored of it and hate it.
So we've made it all the way up to 2.9, and Windows 7 is about to come out. And everybody knows Windows 7 is the best Windows. The whole bay is clamoring about what new and exciting changes will come. In Windows 7 they're going to to take everything we loved about Vista, but make it harder, better, faster, stronger. And it will be loved for years.

And we hope Windows 8 never comes or they skip straight to 10. ;)

I'm a Geek Squad agent so sorry for the nerdy metaphor. :p

I agree, but it breaks for no reason all the time, ironically enough, because of updates. and windows 8 didn't belong in my analogy. windows 8 is candy crush

I've got no doubt that the update will be pretty big, I'm just slightly concerned that it may notbe quite what we're expecting (for certain players on this forum anyway. Some people just love to complain)
I'll be happy with a couple of new maps, maybe some new items or a new ship, and possible re-balancing of certain items due to excessive nerfing (T bolt - I'm looking at you haha)

The very first was a black small computer with which we could play a sort of tennis. A square ball and two sliders in black, gray and white. Don't even know what it was called, then my brother got a ZX80 and later a ZX81. Then a few years later we got a Commodore 64 when I was 12....in 1985, wow! Those were the days ;).

Anyone remember playing that space cadet 3D pinball game? I remember playing it, but I was very young, so I don't remember what windows version it was on. I also played minesweeper, which I've gotten better at over the years, but never managed to flag and avoid all the mines.
