I believe the aspect of flare guns being able to reduce an enemy's healing by 30% is too overpowered. When a flare gun is properly leveled up it already does enough DPS to counter healing and deal additional damage. Take NOTE that flare gun burning lasts for a VERY long time. Pulses last for 9 seconds. They need to remove this 30% healing debuff. The frost blaster and tesla bolt both already debuff healing with 50% and complete negation. Removing the debuff from flare gun which is actually a Red slot will make more people use bolt and frost. Please share your opinions and if this gets alot of support, maybe the devs will take it into account. Also of course if this gets taken away we can also buff flare gun's damage or something in exchange.

I could see what you are saying but as a flare gun user...while it does do a lot of DPS it takes a long time for the total damage to take opponents down. Usually I get hit a lot after firing a shot and in many cases can die well before total damage is done. The flare gun can also be countered by the fixer and reduce burn damage duration or effect. So in a way it is already a weakened or nerfed weapon since it doesn't do it's total damage in one shot. [I've shot many unfriends whom then get a bolt from a fixer...they would have died but alas they live]. I also use the frost weapons in my arsenal already. Due to the duration factor on the flare gun I already lean towards not using it or only as a support weapon rather than a primary..if they nerfed it, I'd just scrap it for something more satisfying.

Your point is valid but no one used a flare gun with incentive to kill, its always just there to combo with cannons for the bonus damage. Flare guns dont kill, their goal to to negate healing all together while doing extra damage overtime AND give you bonus dmg with cannons. Flare gun and fire bomb are ultimate support weapons. From a fixers point of view the as well as receivers of a pulse. The fire dmg negates the healing and does extra damage because it lasts so darn long. There is no way to reduce flare burn duration, so i think its op enough as is. I still stand for them removing the -30% healing debuff and maybe buffing the overall dmg of the gun by say 10%.

    Useful? Yes
    Really useful? Yes
So useful it makes cannons shred anyone who attempts to heal? Yes
So useful it doesn't give people who receive pulse a chance to heal? Yes
Should it be more balanced? Yes
    So its overpowered? Yes
We all love it and can abuse it it. But more fair please and thank you.

I was actually thinking the same thing. Here are my thoughts, for a yellow item, it would have to be a cloak that acts like the tesla shield but instead of shielding dmg it shields from effects for set amount of time. Specific details can be discussed here. If it was a green slot, i would argue it to be a self use item like duct tape since bolt already heals effects.(they can just add a fire removal) This self heal item should be able to recover from frost or burn. In addition it insta heals a tiny amount of HP i would say maybe 1/2-2/3 of what a Box heals. The cooldown should be around 15-20 seconds

Personal opinions. If it's so overpowered why isn't everyone using flare guns?

If anything it should be made a talent. Say around the same level as Burnice gives the heal reduction, Felix could have "repair bolt reduces fire damage by 50% for 10 seconds".
It solves the issue you bring up, but makes you have to choose it and then actively make it happen as well as not making the flare totally useless.

The flare gun is already at a nerfed state..if it's over powered then why everyone isn't using it...lol...it takes a long time to time to complete it's total amount of damage

    "damage control party"
Item Icon picture:a fire extinguisher,a heater, a small repair box and a wire(maybe a gear too)
Instantly remove any debuff(frost, stun, burn) effect from your ship and become temporary immune to those effects(increased duration when upgraded) also lightly repair your ship, too.

Hey at least your healing. It’s not as bad as getting stunned for 13+ seconds, with full healing reduction and cannot even heal pulse for that long.

Aren’t you a double tape user who would totally benefit from a flare gun nerf? Anyway, flare gun is balanced at lower levels because most people wouln’t Have the training
